I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Every year, our local "modern rock" station, Live105 105.3 FM, put together some sort of countdown show. Sometimes, the countdown was all-time; sometimes, it was just for the last year. As I was cleaning out the garage recently, I found this list I'd transcribed. I believe it is Live105's top 105.3 for the year 1988-89 as aired on Memorial Day weekend in 1989. I think I also have a copy of their top modern rock hits of the 1980's that they aired over New Year's 1989-90. If I find that, I'll type it up, as well. For now, though, I thought you all might enjoy this.
