Rachel Sweet

I didn't know where to post this post, since I'm not sure if Rachel Sweet is exactly "New Wave". Her music has a bit of a country feel to it. I've only heard two of her songs, "I Go to Pieces" and "B.A.B.Y", but I like her. My question to you all is are any of her albums avaialbe and if anybody knows what is she doing now?

Hey BlueMolly, I vaguely remember Rachel Sweet. I did a search at Amazon and this cd is listed:

B.A.B.Y.: The Best Of Rachel Sweet

I'm sorry, but I don't know what she's been up to.
I hope this info helps.

Re: Rachel Sweet

Rachel recorded 4 albums: Foolin' Around ('78), Protect The Innocent ('80), And Then He Kissed Me ('81), and Blame It On Love ('82). Her only Top 40 hit was the duet with Rex Smith "Everlastin' Love" in 1981. The only new recordings she did after were for soundtracks: Sing, Hairspray, and CryBaby. I've been told she does voice overs for cartoons now. If you are looking for her music now, two greatest hits collections are available, BABY and Foolin' Around. I think both contain the same songs. Also, her Protect The Innocent album is available on cd.

The song VooDoo is pretty good too. I own this box set, and it has the song on here:
