I'm sure I'm gonna leave a ton of stuff out. Firehouse: Love Of A Lifetime Motley Crue: Girls, Girls, Girls Faster Pussycat: Slip Of The Tongue White Lion: Wait Warrant: Cherry Pie Cinderella: Nobody's Fool Ratt: Round And Round Twisted Sister: We're Not Gonna Take It Poison: Nothing But A Good Time Bon Jovi: Never Say Goodbye These guys didn't wear makeup as far as I know (that makes it glam for me), but fall into that whole 80's "metal" thing as the bands I listed above: Whitesnake: Here I Go Again Def Leppard: Animal Tesla: Love Song Skid Row: I Remember You Ok, that was fun!!!

Those are all great titles! I only have a couple of specific names I'd like to mention now because I don't normally think of them but I am right now.. Ahh, let's see: Blue Murder (Ahh, I forget the name of the song) Bonham - Wait for You (remember that one?!) Great White - The Angel Song, (damn, which is the other big ballad?) I'll have a zillion more one day.....

I forgot about Blue Murder! Wasn't that John Sykes of Whitesnake? I think they had a song called "Keeper of The Keys" and another called "Jelly Roll"(?). I really liked "Wait For You". Kind of surprised they didn't get bigger. "Rock Me" was another cool Great White song! BR

I love "Rock Me." I completely forgot that song existed. Thanks! And I have seen Great White three times (on accident...they were the opening band three times).

Yeah, I'm not all rock either! I saw you mention Roxette on that list.. I love two of her songs.. Listen To Your Heart and It Must Have Been Love Kinda wierd for a guy who loves Anthrax, King Diamond, Death, hehehe. I even listen to Classical sometimes.. I'll have a cassette in my car with heavy metal, then I'll pop it out and the Classical radio station is on.. hehe It's like a real silence of the lambs kind of thing! hehehehe

diversity

I love how awesome it is for us 80s kids to be so musically diverse! I will be listening to DJ Jazzy Jeff and change the station and hear Metallica's "Seek and Destroy" and be so happy! I will be singing to Fleetwood Mac and two minutes later to Slayer, Linda Ronstad (from American Tail), Pink Floyd, Salt N' Pepa, Janis Joplin, and even Donna Summer! So, I congradulate us all on being so cool and diverse. I think it helps us be diverse with many other things in life too!

Re: diversity

You've got that right, Mirdonamy! I thought I was the only one who could be so diverse.. Hey, by the way.. You wouldn't happen to have a good MP3 of Donna Summers, "This Time I Know It's For Real" would you? I've been looking for a good version for a long time......

Donna Summer

No, not now...but my sister has most of her music. I will see if she has any. I live with her, so that won't be hard. Anyhow, when I get a chance...I will convert it to MP3 for you. Give me a week and a few reminders if you don't mind

Hi, Hysteria! Welcome to the community! All great songs you mentioned there! I have a funny question, though.. Did Dokken sing "In My Dreams"? If not - who did? I see you're a big Def Leppard fan.. I just went out and bought "Vault". I haven't listened to it yet. Most songs I already know, but.. Some I don't..

Hey, Rockergirl! No! Keep going! The more songs mentioned here, the more I can go look for and get to know.. I missed a lot of great music in the 80's so I have much catching up to do!
