Here's a one hit wonder I completely forgot about: Rah Band with Clouds across the moon. Does anyone know this song or if they made anything else?

Nope. I've never heard of them Flix. Were they a pop-type band or more esoteric? U.S.? European?

Rah Band was from the UK. I did find something about them today. They apparently released 30-some singles and eight albums (3 different Best Of's). Six of those singles made it into the UK Top 50 (So not exactly a one hit wonder I guess). Clouds Across The Moon peeked at #6. It's a great 80's song - it's definitely worth checking out.

Hi Flixfan,

It's funny how different how some bands have different hits in other countries.
The Rah Band have only had one hit in Australia call "The Crunch Part 1". Can't remember the year exactly, but would guess 1978-1980. It was a synthesized led instrumental which was quite huge. Hopefully someone else has heard this as I'm not familiar with any of their other songs.

Regards,

Jimbo

Indeed I do remember 'Clouds Across The Moon' - a favourite of VH1 Classic.

Always thought that it was a little late for it's time - perhaps it would have been better suited to 1979/80 'Sarah Brightman Starship Trooper' phase.

Re: Rah Band

I loved 'Clouds Across the Moon'

They also had a hit called 'The Falcon' from 1980 I believe. Very catchy stuff

Re: Rah Band

Cloud Across The Moon was remixed in 1999 by house duo Tiefschwartz. One would think that song couldn't be remixed but as it turns out, it actually works out rather well.
