Cool New 80s radio station - weird song urges

Lately, one of our local radio stations has switched to an all-80s format, and I'm in heaven... most of the time. (Their playlist isn't all that broad, and their streaming audio doesn't work yet, but hey)

Now I'm seized with urges to call them and request "Walk the Dinosaur" by Was (Not Was), but it's kind of an embarrassing request... Boom Boom! Lacka Lacka Boom Boom! LOL

When our 80's station started about 3 months ago, they kept playing a lot of the same stuff over and over. As time has went on they have added more music. I had posted on the boards at the station and asked them if they would get more songs. The owner wrote me back telling me they will as the months go on. This station was originally a classic rock station of sorts (they played 60's, 70's, and 80's rock). Our station is 107.7 The End.

We have an 80s station here in St Louis that has been going strong for a while now, and they have a "lost and found" phone line. You can call and tell them what songs you want to be included, and if they can get it, they will play it on a certain time each day, and if the response is good enough, they add it to the play list.

Hey, they played "Walk the Dinosaur" while I was driving home from Waterfire Saturday night, around midnight. My friend was in town visiting, and both she and my husband thought I was nuts when I started to sing along. Be careful what you wish for, I guess.

That's funny that you bring up Was (Not Was) again. I played "Spy in the house of love" as my forgotten 80's track last night on my 80's show.
