I was scanning the site MELODICROCK.COM and ran across the following. It sure makes the guys sound GREAT and is a nice little endorsement! Congradulations guys, PEOPLE ARE TAKING NOTICE!
Now & Then / Frontiers Records have also signed the highly rated Livesay, from the U.S. Imagine a combination of Dream Theater, Leatherwolf, mid-period Yngwie Malmsteen, Gamma and Y&T and you have the sound of Livesay.
The band has opened for the likes of Britny Fox, Danger Danger, Steelheart, Dio, Pat Travers, The
Jason Bonham Band, Fates Warning, Saxon and Dee Snider.
At the second Dio show, another national band Love/Hate, shared the bill. Love/Hate were so impressed with Livesay's show that they offered them an opening slot at a huge outdoor festival in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Guitarist and band spokesman Gregg Livesay had this to say about the signing, "For anyone who may
think this all happened overnight, the facts are quite the contrary. This band started 11 years ago so it has been a long road of recording, opening for countless National acts, personnel changes, and lot's of highs and lows in between. It is also somewhat bittersweet for Alan and I because each of us lost our father within the last two years. We would have loved for them to see this happen. I truly believe that the present line up is the finest group of guy's I've ever had the pleasure of playing with. It is because of their concerted effort and dedication that we have finally arrived at this point and I am grateful to them all."
Livesay will enter the studio in the next couple of months to complete work on their first album for the Anglo Italian label. Already finished are seven songs, recorded in Millbrook Studios, New York (Westworld, Tyketto, Riot, etc ), including a cover of the Gamma classic, Voyager.
The entire album will then then be remixed to bring the quality level up to the highest possible standard.
The band has a couple of shows lined up in the near future. Check them out at: Friday, April 19 - The Chance Theater, opening the show for Angel. 6 Crannell St. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 (845) 471-1966
