A couple weekends ago, I went and saw a 3-D laser show set to Pink Floyd music. It was incredible! They played the entire "Dark Side of the Moon" and had it in sync with "The Wizard of Oz" on a side movie screen amongst the lasers, then did songs from "Animals", "The Wall", "Wish You Were Here" and "Momentary Lapse of Reason". (There were 80s songs in there so this is a valid post! )
I've heard there's a Led Zeppelin laser show around too, but have never heard of it actually playing anywhere. Does anyone know of any other artists music set to a laser show? I highly recommend the Pink Floyd one. This was a couple guys from Texas who take the show on the road, but I know there are other forms at various local planetariums...or there used to be anyways.

Laser shows are awesome! I saw one at the Acropolis in Greece and another at Chichen-Itza in Mexico, and they really are breathtaking! The one in Greece was set to these Gregorian chants and classical music. It would have been cool set to 80s music, but, you can't have everything!!!
Pink Floyd are all about lasers - especially the Delicate Sound Of Thunder Tour, with the computer guided ones around that huge circle. That sounds like it wouldn've been pretty cool to see ABC.
I heard about how Darkside Of The Moon runs in sync with The Wizard Of Oz thats totally spooky
It's amazing how lasers still seem futuristic today, even though they were using them ages ago. I remember the filmclip to Judas Priest's 'Freewheel Burning' - that was laser overkill! I was blown away the first time I saw that, I thought one of the camera crew would get on in the eye and go blind - it was totally insane they were going in every direction
One of the discos I´ve visited frequently during the 80s featured a laser show regulary at midnight - given the time, it was fairly cool when the beams went over the heads of the dancers, and it was one of the first multicolor laser arrays in German discotheques.
Originally posted by Shakey I saw one while I was in college. It was incredible. Now a laser show to Pink Floyd would just be incredible.
I seen that one too! I never thought I would like a laser show but it was awesome! I would have liked to seen laser Zeppelin.

I've seen a few laser shows in my day. My favorite being at the Garden Of The Gods in Colorado. It's this natural rock formation park on the outskirts of Colorado Springs, it's breathtaking. Well, they set a laser show on some of the bigger formations to the sounds of Native American music, it was enchanting and it was a rather magical night!
A local museum used to do regular laser shows set to rock music in their planetarium back in the 80's & early 90's. Too bad they don't still do those, they were awesome
