What is your favorite Sisters Of Mercy song? This was tough for me because I like a lot of their songs. I voted for "More" though. I could listen to that song over and over.

I voted "Body and Soul" as my fav, followed -very- closely by "More" and "This Corrosion".

From all the songs the Sisters have made, it's again a tie decision..."Marian" from 'First, Last And Always' and "Under The Gun" from 'A Slight Case Of Overbombing - Greatest Hits Vol. 1'.
And, there is a pretty obscure version of "Jolene" I´ve heard during a live concert...

I voted for More. The intro is amazing and it's one of those songs I never get tired of.

I went with Other. Heartland was the first of their tracks that I heard. And it's still my fave.

Wave, Jolene is hilarious. I've only heard it on bootlegs though. It really is very good. Last time they came through Toronto they did a pretty good version of Comfortably Numb too. That was interesting.

I've choosen "other" as well as I really like Marian, maybe because it is English and German.

I choose Temple of Love because I'm an Ofra Haza fan! When I first heard the song, I thought it was Men Without Hats!

'This Corrosion' is my fave! - every time it rains at night, I put on some 80's sunglasses, un button my shirt, run outside and re-enact the film clip! I get my friend Beccy to do the girl parts, she looks like a younger version of that lady in the clip :) it's lots of fun

I also voted for This Corrosion.

The Floodland cd is such a good cd.

They did so many great songs temple of love, alice, floorshow but my favorite has to be Adrenochrome so much energy i used to hurl myself round the club to that

I went with "Walk Away" followed by "Marian".

I went with "More" as it was the first song I ever heard by them. After that, I was hooked. I could listen to anything by them, gotta love that voice!!!

oh man. We used to go to this punk club in the early 90's and all i remember is the goths doing this weird little dance to "vision thing" and "dominion".

By the way, what the hell is with all these bands doin covers of Dolly Parton's "Jolene"? I just heard this kickass version of the White Stripes doin it too.

I know we're off topic here but it was called "Geegee's" or Gigi's. Ya, that was it "Gigi's". It was in the market. All it was was a black door. No sign. You went down in these long stairs and boom. Found yourself in a great club with wicked music.

Is the door close the Jardin Grecque? Long time since I lived in Ottawa but there used to be a club right there that you went downstairs to enter. Can't remember what it was called then. Close to where Zaphod Beeblebrox was a couple of years ago (not sure if that is still operating now either).

The entierity of Floodland is good and goes well as an LP

As much as i love More, Alice, or even the sisterhood EP stuff, I have to plump for Dominion/Mother Russia, partialy because the drum pattern meshes excellently with the drum pattern on New Orders Blue Monday

Holy rock and a hard place, Batman -- this is a tough one. They're all good! (although I'm not super enthusied about every single new one)
