Hey Y'all,

Anyone remember the "Plastic Man Comedy/Adventure Show" that ran from 1979-1981? I used to watch this show about the adventures of Plastic Man, a man who was doused with acid which gave him the ability to manipulate his molecular structure to stretch and shape his body to any shape desired. With his partners, Cosmo and Penny, he battles crime around the world. The show also contained a subshow called, the "Adventures of Mighty Man", a tiny superhero who fights crime with help of the worlds ugliest dog, Yukk.

I'm drawing a blank on this one, Wonder Twin. It's not ringing any bells with me! :)

I remember. He was a rip-off of the Fantastic Four's Mr. Fantastic!

I remember the show. Kids would make all kinds of jokes about Plastic Man.

I can't really repeat them, but just try and imagine what kind of jokes elementary school kids would make about a guy that can stretch any part of his body like that.

Actually D.C.'s "Plastic Man" (aka, Eel O'brien) as well as his predecessor, the "Elongated Man" (aka Ralph Dibney) pre-date Marvel's "Mr. Fantastic" (aka Reed Richards). But over the years there has been so much "idea sharing" between the two comic super powers (a lot can be attributed to different writers bouncing back and forth between the two companies), that there are several characters in the Marvel continuity that have a counterpart in the D.C. Universe.

I'm with Michael on this one. The name sounds vaguely familiar, but that's about it.

thanks for the info 80's alive.com, I really thought Mr. Fantastic came first, but then again I liked Marvel better than DC :)
