I voted for "other", mainly because it was impossible for me to decide between all of the fantastic duets listed in this poll! I enjoyed them all! I miss all of the great song duets that took place in the 80s, as nobody does duets anymore. But I think my favorite all-time duet would have to be "After All" by Cher & Peter Cetera. Other faves would include "Almost Paradise" by Ann Wilson and Mike Reno, "Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves" by Aretha Franklin and Annie Lennox, "U've Got The Look" by Prince & Sheena Easton and "It's Only Love" by Tina Turner and Bryan Adams! There are just so many fantastic duets from the 80s!!!!:) Great poll, Greenway!!! :)

Say Say Say, what you want, but this song is really catchy! ;)

I liked almost all those mentioned and listed, too, but this is the song I started singing, so that must mean something. :)

Had to vote for "other", since most of the duets, ahem...sucked (for me). :D

Okay, "Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves" by Aretha Franklin & Annie Lennox and "U've Got The Look" by Prince & Sheena Easton were pretty good, since they weren´t that sappy like 90% of all other duets.

The top of my duets list would include "Don´t Give Up" by Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush (not sappy!!!) and "Darling Don´t Leave Me" by Robert Görl (DAF) & Annie Lennox.

I chose Bill Medley and Jennifer Warne's (I've Had)The Time Of My Life, THE definitive song of the movie "Dirty Dancing". Another one of my favorite 80's duets is actually a country one, called "Meet Me In Montana" by Dan Seals and Marie Osmond.

Kenny Loggins and Steve Perry - Don't Fight it, 1982

It was a classic tune, and most notably it was Steve Perry's first hit as a solo artist

an 80's triangle:

Elton John sang the 1985 hit song 'Wrap Her Up' with George Michael
George Michael sang the 1986 hit song 'I Knew You Were Waiting' with Aretha Franklin
Aretha Franklin sang the 1989 hit song 'Through the Storm' with Elton John

I wonder why all three never recorded a song together?
