View Full Version : Bill & Ted!
Roemello 5-16-00, 05:03 AM Spending the whole day home boxing up things, I had time to watch a movie and popped in Bill & Ted...I loved this movie in the late 80's...if for nothing else, the music was good http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif Got me thinking...how cool would it be if an 80's band like Wyld Stallyons influenced the way we live through the future? http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Heeeey! We must be on the same brainwaves or something because I was just thinking about putting up something about Bill & Ted http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif I own my own copies of both movies, but the first is my fav. I loved the part when Ghengis Khan went ape in the sportstore. Boy did he have the time of his life in there!

Roemello 5-17-00, 03:46 AM Yeah, Ghengis Khan kicked in that movie...then you got Napoleon having a blast at waterloo (there's a historical flip for ya). Freud being called a geek with his futal attempts at picking up girls, Beethovan jammin' a synthesizer, Joan of Ark heading an aerobics class....lol...good movie http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I don't know much about the other guy, though. hehe Wasn't there a Saturday Night Live spinoff? Waynes World, yeah, that's it.. Waynes World, party time, excellent. hehe Not as good, but funny too..

The Evil Us's! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif Wayne World.. I have that too. I loved their rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Can't listen to that song without seeing that image in my head anymore. I love the alternate endings and the actuall ending when the credits are rolling. Not many people saw that at the movies as they all leave before the credits but I'm not that stupid. I always stay for the credits cause you never know!!!

You watch the credit now too, Sal! Have you or anyone seen the credits for Hot Shots with a recipe for choc chip cookies or something. A recipe for something I know that much. I'll have to watch my copy again to see it and write down the recipe. I also listen to the music at the end of the films or to see who did what song. Like on The Matrix which I finally saw last night. I heard a Rage Against The Machine Song, I love that group. So it pays to watch credits to comedy films especially.

Most Jackie Chan movies show the bloopers and accidents during the credits. I don't know how he does all those stunts and still goes on. He's Superman! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

Roemello 6-01-00, 04:41 PM Jackie Chan half near kills himself making those movies...if you watch the end credits to most of his movies, you'll notice he's usually on a stretcher or he has casts all over him. He's the Mick Foley of the movie industry.

Did you know his parents live over here in Canberra? It's where he got his name Jackie from when he worked on a construction site. His nickname (can't remember what it was) from his mother when he was little meant "cannonball" as he was a little chubby kid and loved food. And was always in trouble! No surprises about that one hey! He can't get any insurance either because of all his accidents! He's even dislocated parts of the body he didn't even know you could dislocate, and neither did I for that matter. He's just amazing. The last thing he needs is Hollywood doing all his films. they'll ruin the films. Hong Kong action films are the best, none of this Van Damme or Segal crap.

Each to his own then! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif The thing with Hollywood action is that fights are mostly one-sided, but in Hong Kong movies they're more on even terms. Both get hurt and injured, unlike in Hollywood's stuff. Guns are no use in fights, no challenge then, no fun! Maybe I just watch too much of these movies! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

I can't believe you guys haven't heard of Alex Winter's other movie, where he IS the star! In fact Keanu makes a cameo in it, so heavily made up that you can't even tell it's him!
The movie was called "Freaked". Alex plays an actor who gets trapped in a camp run by a lunatic (Randy Quaid). Randy ends up mutating Alex until he's a monster.
The movie is HILARIOUS! Wait until you see the machine gun toting giant Rastafarian eyeballs! This is DEFINITELY a movie to watch when you have....oh....a little buzz, shall we say?
Me and mum still quote a lot from B&T today, especially "Ziggy Piggy" http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//laugh.gif There were so many good lines from that movie. Actually, isn't the girl who played 'Joan of Arc' from the Go-Go's? looks very much like her.
