View Full Version : ghost in movies
Does anyone remember the scene in Three Men and a Baby where you see a boy behind a curtain wearing a flannel shirt? I thought of this when I was reading about the best movies of the 80s. Anyone know of more movies like this? Whoo, I
just got a chill
One of the greatest hoaxes in movie history. It was later revealed that it was a crewmember's kid who wandered into camera range. No ghost.
This is almost like the supposed "muchkin suicide" in The Wizard of Oz.
Yep.. I knew of both of those... I can't think of anymore at the moment http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//frown.gif The hanging munchkin was a crane or emu, (larger birds were wandering the set)
Diney has some things hidden in their movies, though, not ghosts of course.. but for example.. in "Aladdin", during the balcony scene where Al first asks Jasmine to take a magic carpet ride with him, the tiger is growling, and behind that you can hear a whisper...clear as day, though.. say, "Teenagers, take off your clothes".. I swear I am not making this up... I was so insistent that it couldn't be true.. and I kept rewinding it and listening and I'll be damned, it is so clear... and in The Little Mermaid, during the wedding ceremony of Eric and Vanessa (sea witch in disguise), the little preacher guy gets an erection, and it happens pretty quick.. but if you just watch.. it is so funny! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//laugh.gif and one more that I can think of right now is in The Lion King, adult Simba flops down on some leaves and they float up in the air in a big bunch and when they spread out, they spell out "sex".
I am a huge Disney fan and I own all of the movies and when someone told me about these things.. I couldn't believe it.. I mean, I have seen them all so many times that I have everything practically memorized.. these are things that you would almost definatly overlook unless someone told you about them... and now I see them (and hear them in Aladdin's case) everytime.
Anybody have any more?

Tina, were we seperated at birth? I'm a MONSTROUS Disney fan! Going down to WDW on March 30th for two glorious weeks! My wife & I are the only two morons at the character breakfasts without kids! Hey...we wanted to meet Tigger! In fact, my next tattoo will be Tigger bouncing on his tail wearing sunglasses and playing a bass!
Anyway...I remember the "Lion King" one. I have to check the others. Another one in "The Little Mermaid" wasn't exactly in the movie but on the old VHS box. One of the turrets on the castle was actually shaped like a penis. They caught it after awhile and recalled the box so they could restock the stores with the new one, but my friend got one of the old ones. Definitely worth something one day!
Also, I haven't watched for it yet, but I've been told that there's a scene in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" where someone picks up Jessica and swings her around. While this is happening, her dress supposedly rises up a little and you get a "basic instinct" shot. If anyone's seen this let me know.
Peace,
Pagan
I did hear about the Roger Rabbit one!! Never looked for it though... and I do remember the penis in the Little Mermaid..
I think we are planning a Disney Vacation sometime around early September.. (we have free plane tickets that need to be used by then and are thinking about getting married and taking a honeymoon there)

morningmyst 3-06-01, 07:18 PM *raises her hand* I, too, am a HUGE disney fan. I in fact, have Mickey Tattooed on my ankle. It's actually 2 tat's...the outside is Mickey "breaking" through my leg, and the inside is his ass-end poking out! Really cute! I'll try to get pics and post them for ya.

VERY kewl Dawn! I'd really like to see that! I'll be taking tons of pix again when I go March 30th. It's our 6th year in a row to WDW. I'm so psyched! I actually downloaded a program that tells me how many days until the trip each time I boot up the computer!
morningmyst 3-06-01, 08:06 PM I'd LOVE to go to WDW.....I've been to Disneyland in Anaheim a couple of times, but I've heard that WDW is soooo much better. You're soo lucky!

My wife & I were just saying that the other night, we're very lucky. Most people have never seen the place, yet here we are going for the sixth time. We have the yearly pass that gets us unlimited admission for one year, so we may go down there agin around October, and again near Yule.
It's really weird, there something that comes over you when you get there. It would be hard to understand unless you've felt it, and sometimes I get made fun of for saying it, but it's true. If you have any child inside of you, it comes out completely the moment you walk through the gates. It may sound corny, but there are times that my wife & I stand at the start of Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom, and just stand there holding hands looking at the castle. It's an awesome sight. It's actually depressing when you have to leave. I guess the pain comes from having to squeeze the 8 year old back into your adult body and come back to reality.
There definitely is magic there, and it kills me to see people there actually making fun of some of the attractions. To me, if you think it's corny, stay home and save your money. Leave the place to those who believe in magic.
Tina, if you plan on going, do yourself a HUGE favor. Buy "Birnbaum's 2001 Guide to Disneyworld". It has everything, and I mean EVERYTHING you want to know about WDW. We thought we knew everything from being there so many times, but we learned so much from reading that book that this year's trip will be the best ever! This time, we've booked every restaurant in Epcot to eat in; Morocco, Norway, Germany, Canada & The United Kingdom. We're also having dinner one night inside Cinderella's castle, and in the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom. Then, since I'm a Dolphin's fan, we're eating at Shula's Steakhouse. Lastly, we're having breakfast with Mickey & Minnie at Chef Mickey's on the morning we're leaving. Ten straight days in the Kingdom. It'll be glorious....
Oh well...I've babbled enough about this. 23 more days....<sigh>
Peace,
Pagan

I have to confess that a customer of mine helped me find the one in aladdin. I listened before but couldnt hear anything, then when he put it on the exact spot we could hear it plain as day. Shame on him he is only 14 and he knew the other ones also!! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif
I thought that hearing the original actors' voices and songs was reason enough to buy the original Disney movies and not the Danish voice-overs...thanks for giving me yet another reason! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//00grin.gif Can't wait to go to London next month to do my movie shopping....
