Who's your favorite Rockabilly/Psychobilly band?

I had to go with the Cramps with the Rev.Horton Heat not too far back.

that was my "in thing" about 85/86

King Kurt had to be my fave

loved the Cramps, Meteors and the Guana Batz but to name a few

Definately Rev. Horton Heat. I got to see them live a few years ago, and man, what a show. The Rev himself, Jim, is a cool dude too. He took the time to hang with a few of us after the show. They're coming to town again next month, and I'll be there.

Also gotta give props to the Cramps. Great band. Wish I'd kept up with them more.

Would the Supersuckers count? I've only just begun to hear a bit of their stuff from a good friend of mine who loves em. They remind me a bit of the Rev. but seem more varied in their sound.

Guana Batz & Meteors are great too. Haven't listened to this stuff in forever.

King Kurt definitely my fave psychobilly band. Although Wreckin' Crew by the Meteors is one of my all time fave songs...period. :)

I still remember the first time I heard Billy by King Kurt. Been hooked on it ever since. :D

The Amazing Crowns (http://www.amazingcrowns.com/)... (used to be the Amazing Royal Crowns) Of course, they were from Providence. I hope they're happy after their breakup. Sigh.

Rev. Horton Heat.... "It's a psychobilly freakout!" I only have their stuff on mix tapes, and it's rare that I drag them out of their dusty tape rack.

Foxxy, I saw the poster at Warehouse Music yesterday and was trying to call ya and let ya know about Rev. Horton Heat! I know you're gonna be there, fill me in! ;)

It's cool to find some other Cramps fans! "Bad Music For Bad People" was my first album that I ever owned from anyone in this genre and from there I was introduced to Rev. Horton Heat and the Butthole Surfers (not sure if they fit in with this genre or not...) I also dig The Horrors.

One fortunate thing about moving to NC has been seeing SCOTS perform at various local venues.

i really miss the cramps. i haven't listened to them in quite a long time and i used to be the biggest fan. i have to stop being so lazy about listening to my vinyl. mp3s are the death of me, i swear. anyway....anyone see The Cramps live?

I have....it was one of the best shows I've seen. :D

I used to have the video of their concert at the Napa State Hospital ,Great stuff.
