What's your favourite Eurythmics song of the eighties?

I love Sweet Dreams. That video is so stellar!

Another hard one, but I went with "Thorn In My Side". It's the song that I always seem to play first whenever I pop in my Eurythmics' Greatest Hits CD... :)

I voted for "There Must Be an Angel" with "Thorn in My Side" a very close second.

Sweet Dreams was a great song, but there is just something about "Would I lie to you", which takes me on a bit of a nostalgia trip.

"Would I lie to you" got my vote, it reminds me going to school early in the morning and hearing my mother sing along. :D :)

I voted for Love Is A Stranger. But it was really difficult, could have been a five way tie.

I saw them on Top Of The Pops in the UK doing You've Placed A Chill In My Heart when it was out. Dave Stewart only had a guitar and Annie Lennox sang live, it was very very good, probably one of the most memorable performances I've seen on the TV of any band during the eighties.

I voted for "Here Comes The Rain Again" was and still is my favorite Eurythmics song! :thumb:

I've voted for "sweet dreams". It was one of the first songs that left me agape in the 80s, and also the video (Annie Lennox with her short orange hair on a green grass background...)

I am not a huge Eurythmics fan, but it was a toss up between Would I Lie To You and Here Comes the Rain Again and I chose Would I Lie To You

Tough one to decide - Would I lie to you & Sweet Dreams.

Gosh, another toughie. My absolute favorite is "I NEED A MAN" but since it wasn't in the choices, I voted for "Would I Lie to You" with Missionary Man and a close second. The woman has an awesome voice and can sing just about anything.

Beethoven (I Love To Listen To) seems to have been lost in time but i really like it (and the Video that went with it)

You can't argue with "i need a man" or "would I lie to you" but "Ball and Chain" is proberbly the one of their best song despite never being a single!
