Hey Y'all,

I dug this piece of information up for fans of the Nickelodeon show "You Can't Do That On Televison", it sounds like fun!

---------------

You Can't Do That On Television Fan Convention

I am spreading the word about a You Can't Do That On Television Fan Convention, known as Slime Con, that will be held in Ottawa, Canada on July 12-14, 2002. It is complete with everything for the You Can't Do That On Television fan, including tours of the studios where this innovative show was filmed, along with autograph signings with the cast members. It will also provide guests with the chance to see episodes again (some of which have not been seen in a VERY long time)! You can find out more about the upcoming convention at:

80strivia, I believe Jughead lives in Ottawa. Maybe the four of us could go together and party like it's 1999 afterwards at Jughead's pad :)

Don't worry about the slime, we'll just say "Water" to clean it up!

Wow didn't think I'd find someone on here that remotely lives close to me. I am in Kingston Jughead...

Hard to believe Alanis Morrisette was a character on You Can't Do That... Oh how she's so grown up...

Just came on and saw this thread...I don't know who it was that alerted you guys about the convention, but I'm glad they did!

I'm the head organizer of SlimeCon, Byron Smith, and I think you guys should all come up for the convention in July! :) We have a long list of guests attending, including many of favorites like Kevin Kubusheskie, Lisa Ruddy, Abby Hagyard and of course, the master comedy player, Les Lye (Ross, Barth, Dad, etc.). And the best is yet to come, as we will likely have more cast members to announce in the next couple of weeks, many of them the "big names" (I'll leave that vague and mysterious so you all can guess who they are). Plus, we'll have games, episode viewings, prizes, autograph sessions and so much more...giving you the chance to get up close and personal with your favorite YCDTOTV stars!

In short, it'll be a weekend full of slime, jokes, memories and 80s nostalgia. We'll be playing 80s music during the weekend, so that will give you a chance to kick back and reminisce. Any fan of the 80s who remembers this show owes it to themselves to be there! :) I hope we'll see you guys in July!

Hey there, all. I just wanted to let you guys know that Vanessa Lindores will be coming into the YCDTOTV.com chat room on Sunday (May 19th) to talk with the fans of You Can't Do That On Television! Ms. Lindores was on the show for six seasons between 1982 and 1987, and is one of the best-known YCDTOTV cast members. She is excited to talk with her fans, and we are really looking forward to meeting her!

The chat will begin at 8pm EST on Sunday evening and last for approximately one hour. All you have to do to join the chat is go to the chat room (http://www.ycdtotv.com/chat/index.html) and enter a nickname. From there, you'll be able to view our discussion and ask Vanessa questions about her time on the show and what she's been up to after all these years!

Hope you guys won't miss out on this unique opportunity! See you there!
