I noticed my post counter seems to be stuck. I'll make a few posts a day and the next time I log on it seems to go back to that starting number from the day before. :confused:

Anybody else notice there post counters doing this?

I noticed my post counter go down by about ten the other day, but I think it had something to do with all the Westend Girl threads being removed. Perhaps when a thread is removed it is deleted from your tally.

However what you described seems to be something different all together.

My post counter is fine.

I've noticed this as well, one night my post counter went down 15 posts. I thought maybe things were being purged, but now I'm not sure.

Mine seems to be fine. When we first switched to this site, I lost about 25 posts, but I didn't worry about it.

I'll have Sal and/or Roem look into this. For the record, when a thread is moved (to a forum not seen by everyone) or deleted, the number of posts you may have had in those threads are not deducted from your total number of posts. Which means, that something else is amiss. Personally, I haven't noticed whether mine has decreased or not, I simply don't pay attention to my post count. Now I'm curious, so I will watch it a little closer.

I haven't noticed hon... but Iwill keep an eye on it!

Okay, that's wierd. The last three posts I made kept me at 1449. This one says 1450. Go figure.

I haven't been checking my counter since I made my own subtitle over there.

I think mine keeps going back to 867.. right now it's on 873, we'll see if it goes back tomorrow..

I have noticed that my counter has been going down 5-10 postcounts everynight. It had stopped for a few days, but it's started up again. I just want to alert Roem/Sal, maybe something is malfunctioning again. :confused:

Hmmm... I still haven't noticed my post count going in a downward direction, but I don't pay too much attention to it, so perhaps I wouldn't notice. As long as it doesn't impede me too much from reaching 3K by the end of the month... :cool:

I really haven't looked at my post count in so long, that I couldn't know. Is this really an issue that needs to be addressed though? If so, then just let us know and we'll look into it.

I don't know Shakey, it's not really the count I'm concerned with so much, but I'm wondering if our messages are being purged or deleted by some mishap on the system? That's all. But if y'all think things are running fine, than I'm happy with that! :)

No, the system can't delete on it's own..I don't think there's even a setting for that thankfully. I recently ran an update on the forums to update name changes, forum counts, etc.....maybe that had something to do with it adjusting...

The system can't delete on it's own though, of that I'm positive :)

Hmmm... I think I have an explanation about the disappearing posts. It would appear that someone is consolidating posts; i.e. putting two separate posts that a member has made in a particular topic and making them one! :)
