Hey Y'all,

Here's a group that's kinda forgotten about but that I'm really into!
So what's your favorite song from Terri Nunn and the guys?

had to go with "The Metro"

...but i had to go with other. My favorite Berlin song is "Masquerade" I had to do a modern dance routine to this when i was like 11 years old. I had to listen to this song over & over and I loved every second of it. :D

Metro, Dancing in Berlin, and Tell Me Why are my other favs.

No more words...you tell me that you love me...while your looking away.

Followed by Riding on the Metro..:D

I use to love Berlin. They were one of my favorites in the 80's.

Cool poll, Trixter:thumb:

"No more words, you tell me that you love while you're looking away, no more words, no more words and no more promises of love..."

Uh, "No More Words" gets my vote as fave Berlin song. I like the Bonnie and Clyde-esque video as well. :)

Masquerade is my favorite. Cool tune with good lyrics.

Of course! What a classic. Berlin had some great songs too. They were a group that should have achieved so much more fame than what they did.

I remember a friend and I playing "Sex I'm a..." on our tape recorder and my little sister who was about 5 or 6 at the time asked us what a Slut was! Well she actually said, "What's a sludge?" thinking it was very funny. We were able to get ourselves out of a potentially embarrassing situation by explaining what Sludge meant!

I picked "No More Words" but "Masquerade" would also be near the top of my list of favorite Berlin songs.

Gotta be 'No More Words' for me...followed close by 'The Metro' Although "Take My Breath Away" was great too for a slow tune :p

My vote goes to The Metro. I've always loved that song. I think I still have it on 45! Hehe. No More Words is a close second though.

I'm a little surprised that "Take My Breath Away" isn't winning this poll. I've always loved the song, of course, but I suppose it's a song you hear quite a bit on radio today, as opposed to "No More Words", which you don't hear that often. :)

I voted for "Take My Breath Away" - what a classic song.

Berlin had more than 2 hits?! Blimey, I never knew that!!

After 'Take My Breath Away' I don't remember anything else from them in the UK charts.

For this poll, I'd have to go with No More Words, but my favorite is Masquerade hands down. I like You Take My Breath Away, except I have some bad party memories attached to it! lol

Does anyone else remember Teri Nunn appearing as an actress in a whole bunch of guest star roles and TV movies of the week?

Interesting fact about Berlin. They said their #1 hit "You take my breath away" ruined their career. They said that after hearing that song everybody thought the rest of their songs would be just like it, therefore disappointing a lot of people when they heard what Berlin really sounded like. As you know they never really ever sounded like that before or after that song hit it big.

I like Berlin quite a lot. No More Words was my favorite, but I also like the Metro. Does anyone remember the song "Hideaway" I think that it's very good also.

Ok, so I'm the brave one of the bunch, I'm not even gonna lie..I voted for Sex (I'm a....) I love that song! I got the opportunity to see Berlin twice this summer. Man, they put on one of the BEST shows!

*did you know that Terri was also in this movie called "Thank God It's Friday" with Donna Summer, Jeff Goldblum, and Debra Winger. It's about a bunch of people at a disco, where there's a big dance contest. The Commodores are in it too. It's a cheesy 70's movie, but I love it! I am a movie goddess afterall, and I try to see all the movies...oh yeah, and buy their soundtracks...

"The metro". I love this song. And "Sex (I'm a...)" in a closer second place. Was difficult to listen to this song in the radio... someone considered it was not "politically correct" for our "innocent" minds!

I voted for Take My Breath Away, it was an exceptional song at the time and still is today.

An interesting side note: Berlin's "No More Words" is the B-side to Madonna's single "Crazy For You". Both songs appeared on the soundtrack to the movie Vision Quest. I still have the vinyl single, which is a bit of a rarity, as both songs became hits in the US. "No More Words" is a great 80s New Wave tune, so those that have never heard it should check it out! :)

I voted for "No More Words"; I love the part where you can hear her take a breath in the middle of the third or fourth chorus.
Berlin was supposed to perform at a club several years ago in the city I used to live in but backed out at the last minute:confused: . This was disappointing, since I had already missed Dead or Alive at the same place when the ATM ate my card on the way over there:mad: .

I voted for "No More Words", the song is great, but I also enjoy the video for it's based on 'Bonnie & Clyde', and I think I've posted before that I'm releated to Bonnie Parker!

unavailable choice "Dancing In Berlin" (http://www.cdnow.com/from=sr-181894/cgi-bin/mserver/SID=1470116616/pagename=/RP/CDN/FIND/album.html/artistid=BERLIN/itemid=351910).
Personally, I thought that entire CD/album from 1984 was the best one they did.

I don't know. It's hard to pick since Berlin is one of my all-time favorite electro-pop bands. The Pleasure Victim EP is perfect in every way. "The Metro," "Torture," "Pleasure Victim" and "Sex" being particular standouts - even though all the songs are fantastic. Subsequent albums were less-than-stellar [especially Count Three and Pray, YIKES!] but the Love Life LP gave us a couple of gems: "When We Make Love," "Touch," "Dancing in Berlin," "In My Dreams" and of course "No More Words." Then there's TOP GUN which gave Berlin a massive hit with the beautiful "Take My Breath Away" [the only memorable cut from the Count Three and Pray LP].

Sorry for being so wordy. In the 83/84 period Berlin were in top form. Nevertheless, my fav from them is "Take My Breath Away."

Had to vote for "No more words", it had a cute video too. Those bank robbers reminded me of Bonnie and Clyde movie.

Also love "Take my breath away" but it reminds me too much of the movie Top Gun, and I think I watched that movie so much that I'm sick-to-death of it. lol
