I wasn't sure whether or not to put this here or in advice, but I stuck it here anyway. I'm supposed to keep my mouth shut, but non of you guys+dolls go to Fall Mountain I think and I already told my best friend. Not that this matters or should, but I needa get it out.

My principal yesterday, canned my mom for no given reason (she's a teacher at my HS). My mom's cantract is not being renewed in June. I told my parents the day before I started highschool, I wanted to spend four years in one spot. They told me last night that they were going to try, but they weren't going to make my mom work at Wal Mart just so that I could stay here. It's not likely that I'll be here next september. I'm sick of having friends that I can never see in real life that I did once. That's how most of my friends are. I might as well put everything about that punk (down there in my signature) down the toilet, or I'd better get my ass moving on it. I cried twice last night. I hate moving, I feel like it's all I do in the summer anymore. I cried the whole time in the shower and I cried while I wrote a note to my friend. I sniffled to sleep. I know that they say they'll try to stay here, but I doubt we will.

Awwww, I never had to move around at all, so I don't know what it feels like but, I imagine that must be tough. Especially since your a teenager, thats all the tougher. I do rmemeber being taken outta school and away from friends, and I switched schools once, but, it wasn't too hard since I was young. I hope everything works out for ya Shortie, especially with the punk. :)

Yep moving around is tough. My father was a share-milker till I was around 8 years old and I went to 5 different schools by that time. Stuffed up my education and my social skills. Fortunately things started to settle down a bit after that and I was fortunate enough to remain at the same High School until I finished. It's not easy Shortie, but hang in there.

{{Shortie}} We had to move before my junior year of high school because of my mom's job... I know how tough it is to have to change high schools. We didn't even know for sure that we were moving until late in the summer. It was hell. We mainly moved because my mother was sick, and couldn't commute 30 miles each way any more. Everything worked out okay... looking back, I am glad I moved that year, but that was because of the people I met at my new school, not because of the move itself.

My mom's a teacher too so I can sympathize on that front... it was always quite uncertain for us around budget time. PM me anytime if you want to talk about it. {{hugs}}

I'm about to move my teenage children halfway across the country. They don't seem to be too tore up about it, but we'll see when it gets closer to time to move. They say they're ready.

I, however, remember what it was like to move during my junior year in high school. I hated it!!! I moved in with my dad the next semester so that I could go back to my high school.

Yeah! That pretty much blows. I moved around a lot. Dad was career military. I always wondered what it would be like to have had friends I knew all of my life. On the plus side though, I did get to see a lot of things most people don't.

This is something I can definitely relate to. By the time I was 12, we had moved more than 30 times! I stopped counting after that. It was a just a way of life. And it did suck big time! We didn't just move across town or to the next town (though there was a lot of that as well), we would move across the country and back, then go the opposite direction across the country and back again.
Things always seemed to work out though. And they will for you as well Shortie. I do hope that you get your wish and don't have to move. Best of luck to you!!

Sorry to hear the bad news Shortie, but I can relate to your situation.

I am an Army/ Navy brat, and I've had to move several times, starting great friendships every place I went, only to say goodbye forever in 1-3 years. It was horrible. I've always wanted to start roots somewhere, I was tired of moving so frequently. Finally when my dad was stationed here in Corpus Christi, he retired here and finally I had roots and long-lasting friendships, but the past was lonely and sad, due to constant moving.

All I can say is, I hope things get better for you. :)

We moved every year. So i was always the new kid and always seemed to get picked on. It made me a stronger person. It will work out for you. It is called life.. it changes you just have to change with it.

Sorry to hear that Shortie. As another military brat here online, I can understand. Being in one place for about 2 yrs than moving was crazy. I made it though and so will you.
Actually sometimes you still keep friends you already have for a lifetime. I am still in close contact with a friend I have had since 4th grade in California(when my dad was stationed in San Pedro) I even actually got to see him and his wife last year.
Like others have said, I got to see alot that other people don't get a chance to everyday.

I've never had to move so I can't relate and I've been at the same school for eleven and a half years. But I know that I would never want to move. I really sympathize with you. Hope everything goes well for you.

I changed schools three times during Middle School. First time, I went to another school in my district, I had friends there. It was all good. Second time, I moved to the rival of my old school, but that's not why everyone despised me. I had like three friends constant. Last time, here I am. The people in my town think I'm still a freak who escaped a padded room (it could be true;)), but the ones from other towns don't mind me.

Do you have have any influence if to move or not? Now it`s up to you to learn "that`s live".
Make the best out of it! The best wishes for you with that thing,
helloman;)

Sorry to hear that Shortie. I know this may sound impossible & ridiculus right now, but no matter where you move you'll eventually make new friends and make that place your home.
I know since I moved 4-5 times when I was a kid, cheer up :)

Well my parents are actually saying now that they're looking for places relatively near by. My mom sent an application to the junior high in West Lebenon (relatively near by, we wouldn't have to move). She's going for principal and vice principal things now, yeah, she's that old. :p
