Hey Y'all,

I was wonderin' if anyone here has been privvy to be part of a live taping of an 80's television show or on the set in a location shot? Game shows count.

I was on a shooting site for "Magnum P.I." in 1983 or 1984. My parents and I had only lived in Hawaii for about 3 months and were driving around sight-seeing when we stumbled upon roadblocks. Curious to the crowd gathered, we investigated and got to watch the cameras rolling on some show. Much to my surprise emerging from a gate a couple houses down from where I was standing was Tom Selleck and he jumped into the famous red sports car and sped off as the cameras followed! Gee, I couldn't believe what I just saw! :eek: My dad has a picture somewhere of the day!!

Anyone else have an experience?

i've appeared on 80's kids pop show over here called Razzamatazz...it was rubbish and i won a few albums and stickers.

Also been on the live set for music shows The Tube a few times, seeing bands like Frankie goes to Hollwood when they started off and The Smiths

Did you ever get to meet Tom or get his autograph? Were you able to see the car up close after the shooting? What you saw sounds pretty neat:)

I was on Seasme Street. Although I believe that was in the 70s. Still a fav. show of the 80s though! They were recording at the mall my mom was a promotion director of.
