I have been there- I have attempted suicide and have been unsucessful. Since then I have gotten help for myself. Please, if you are hurting, there is help for you. PM me and I will do what I am able to do to direct you to the professional help that you need. This is so sad.

It seems senseless to those who are on the outside looking in, but I can tell you that as someone who should be dead but who isn't, that those who commit this act do not do it for selfish reasons. In fact, many of them feel as though it's their last and most giving act. Often, they feel as though everyone would be better off without them, that everyone else would have a better life if they are gone.

Many times, there are feelings like "I will have more value dead than alive--they will someday have good memories of me, not like of the screw up I am now" They never see their value as daughters or sons, as friends, as siblings, as lovers, etc. They have no sense of self-worth.

If you notice someone feeling irritated a lot, whose mood changes drastically, whose eating and/or sleeping habits change drastically, if someone stops grooming or going out, if they begin to give away things that meant a lot to them, if they lose all interest in what they loved, or if they have extreme emotions all the time (fits of crying that don't seem to have an end,etc.) Talk to that person, find out what is going on. let them know you love them and need them and want them. You may save a life.
