What was your favourite Wham! song?

I voted for "Last Christmas". Close runner up was "Careless Whisper". Both are great songs! :) :D

I voted for "Edge of heaven", which is also a Candlemass song. :p

I was always partial to "Wham Rap" with "I'm Your Man" a close second.

I actually like their earliest stuff best from their album Fantastic like Wham Rap, Young Guns and Bad Boys, but my favourite has to be "Different Corners" with "Club Tropicana" running a close second.

I went with "Careless Whisper" for this one.

I'll pick "Freedom", although I like most of the songs off Make It Big.

I was torn between "Careless Whisper" and "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go"...but I chose "Careless Whisper".

I voted for "I'm Your Man" as I always have to hop up and dance like a fool when I hear this song. It's just one of those great, mindless 80s happy tunes!!! :dance:

"Everything She Wants" has got to be the BEST Wham song ever! :thumb: It received my vote!!

"A different corner" was released as a solo single by George Michael in the US but is my favorite on this list. It was the butt of a personal joke for years :)

I voted for 'Freedom' because of it's get up and go factor. However I really liked' Everything she wants' and it was a close second.

Really liked all of the choices there though, maybe we should have a seperate vote for the early Wham! stuff as I loved Wham Rap....

BTW, I'm sure you watched E! True Hollywood Story on George Michael last week! It was excellent, of course. At the end, they showed George's new video to "Freeek", which was awesome!!! :cool:

I loved Wham Rap and I really wanted to include it in this poll, but it would only allow me to include 10, so I included the ones that had made it highest in the charts.

I have always loved Everything she wants from the first releasing right up to the wonderful acoustic version he recorded on UNPLUGGED

A little side note Wham was the name of a very popular Ohio Valley group from the late 70's to the early 80's. At the height of their local appeal George Michael and Wham came came along. George Michael bought the rights to the name off the local band (which change their name to Jham - and soon disappeared).

I think that this is why George's Wham! were known initially in the US (circa 1982) as Wham! UK... just a little slice of trivia... :)

I voted for "Everything She wants". I also loved the earlier stuff like "Club Tropicana" and finally found it at the last record convention after searching for it. Usually the only Wham cd I can find is Make It Big, now I have 3 Wham cd's.

Thought different corner was George and not Wham. Still, it is my favourite song out of the list. As True Wham song I would choose one of their older songs like the Wham Rap
