I apologize if this has been posted before...I'm still learning the ropes here!

Who here enjoys the wonderful Super Mario Brothers video games?

I loved all of them, but my favourite...Super Mario 3, which I believe came out in the early '90's, but since Mario came out in 1985, I think it's safe to talk about it on an 80's forum!;)

And before that as the star of Donkey Kong (1981), and as the villain in Donkey Kong Jr. (1982). I remember playing a fun Commodore 64 game starring the Mario Bros - not sure of the year but it might have predated the first Nintendo game by a little bit as well. It wasn't a side scroller, all the action was by hopping ledges all over the same screen.

Oh yeah! I like the Mario series :) Beaten every last one of 'em thus far with plenty of fun in the process. I just read in a GC newsletter there's a new one coming for GameCube...from the screenshots I saw, looks like another good one!

I don't know if I have a fave..there's so damn many Mario games out there!

Don't forget the game Mario Brothers that came out before Donkey Kong. I could beat Super Mario brothers at the arcade without warping but coldn't beat the home game.

I love the Super AMrio Brothers game.I my oppionen I think they are the best games ever made.My favorite is Super Mario 3.I still prefer the 2D ones compare to the new 3D ones.I didn't like Mario 64 that much.I thought that game was hard.To bad they probably won't make a 2D again.I love Mario Cart.

The Mario Bros. games are the BEST!! I have played them all and beaten them several times! I used to skip school to play these in the arcades, back in the day!! Oh, I've got to dig 'em up again! :thumb:

Mario games are always good. Still think my favorite is the one from the original Nintendo. Just had a lot of fun with that one.

Wasn't Mario only known as (the) jumpman in DK - at least he was in the Game&Watch version...

Now for that Mario game. Did you have to "head-butt" (in lack of a better word) ledges to flip some turtles over, and then jump up and knock'em down ? If so, you are indeed refering to the 1st original Mario game.

The scary thing is I still have the mario brothers games. I have beaten them so many times. My boyfriend can't believe how I remember all the little tricks of the games. The first Mario Brothers game I have has Duck Hunt and some track and field game on it too. Wow, I am feeling old.

I loved the Mario Bros. games. I remember playing it for coutless hours when I got my NES, with the World Class Track Meet/Duck Hunt/Mario Bros. cartridge. Didn't like the second one as much (which originally wasen't designed as a Mario game), but I really enjoyed Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World.

I loved all the Mario games, too. And I can still remember how awed I was by how Duck Hunt worked , LOL! Heck, I can remember being awed by PONG! Those were the days!
