I guess you would call them New Wave Shades. Remember the shades that were thin and usually one piece that wrapped around your face? I had a black pair and a red pair. Anyone else? Is there another name for them?

I remember having those. I didn't keep them very long because you couldn't hang them on your shirt. They looked cool and looked good when you wore them on your head though.

I wish I still had mine or could find some.

I had several pairs of New Wave shades... my sister always called me "Bug Eyes" when I wore them, because they reminded her of a praying mantis' eyes... I think I may actually have a pair put away in storage somewhere...

I had a pair in the eighth grade kinda like that guy in Square Pegs "I am into New Wave -- Totally!" That was when my nearsightedness wasn't so bad and I could buy sunglasses "off the rack". Now I'm so blind my shades HAVE to be prescription. :laugh:
