In honor of Say Anything comming out to DVD next week (March 5th) we have a poll about one of the best 80's teen actors who still makes quality movies.
Try to keep your votes limited to his 80's movies but if you want to mention his later work, that's cool too.

I *LOVE* the movie "Say Anything". One of my favorite movies ever. John Cusack is great in it! :D :thumb: :cool:

I voted for "Better Off Dead".

My vote goes to Say Anything. I just watched it again the other day. There's so many great scenes and lines from this movie. I just love it.

I went with 'Better Off Dead'. :) Which, btw, I only recently seen! :rolleyes: :lol:

I picked 8 Men Out as my favorite 80's movie with John Cusak although my favorite movies of his were from the 90's . The Grifters and True Colors

I voted for Sixteen Candles. He should have had a larger role.

It was tough between The Sure Thing and Better Off Dead. I went with Better Off Dead. Actually one not listed, One Crazy Summer(is that the name?), was pretty funny also.

Say Anything is my absolute fave. Of his later works, I like Gross Point Blank . :lol:

I'm embarresed to say that the only one I saw was "sixteen Candles" so I voted for that one.:D

I'm embarrassed to say it, but I voted for "Journey Of Natty Gann", I watched that movie 3 times in one night with my cousins!
They wanted to stay up and see the sunrise and this is what they rented for their Friday night viewing pleasure. It was an ok film, but John Cusack was who I identified with and releated to. That was the last time, for a while at least, that I sat for my cousins! :lol: Now this movie reckons the sweet memory of their youth and the precious time we've captured that night. Wouldn't change it for anything! :)

I like Better off dead. That movie was so funny.

I voted for 16 candles. It doesn't really seem like a John Cusack movie though since he had such a small role in it.

I voted for "Say Anything". John was so excellent in this movie. My fave movie that he appeared in on the list is Sixteen Candles, but he only had a small role in that film, so I voted for "Say Anything"... :)

I voted for Better Off Dead, but it was close. Say Anything is my second favorite John Cusack movie.

I would have to say that I like Eight Men Out the best. Being a sports fanatic, I love movies about sports.

I like "Say Anything" best. It has some classic lines and scenes.

True Colors and The Grifter's were early 90's and those are my two favorite Cusack movies also

Say anything rocks but I chose other. My favorite Cusack movie(Tough since he is my favorite actor) is a tie between Hot Pursuit and One Crazy Summer.:D

But I have seen "One Crazy Summer" and liked that, so voted other.

I just love Better Off Dead! That movie is just a classic. Everytime it's on comedy central i have to watch it. "I WANT MY TWO DOLLARS!"

But a close second is a SURE THING, there's something about John and Daphne Zuniga's chemistry that makes that movie work for me.

Definitely Better Off Dead... very little competition to that pick :cool:

He had a small role in 'Stand By Me', and well, that movie was just too cool :thumb:

I went with OTHER, because he is in one of my top 5 movies of all time, STAND BY ME. If not for him (his charector), the entire Gordy charector would have no reason for being who he is. SO, he was the part that made the movie.

Better off dead is one of the all time classic movies EVER!!!!! And one of my favorites.

One of my favorite lines from the movie is:


"gee Im real sorry your mom blew up ricky. Doctors said she'd be ok i guess she just cant eat any spicy food for a while??"

Better Off Dead!!!!!! I can't believe you didn't include One Crazy Summer. I like all of his movies that I have seen. Hi Fidelity is very cool....but not 80's!
