View Full Version : For the Disney fans....
This may ruin Taz and my reputations, (puh-leeez, you already know how much I dig anything Disney!) but we went to see "Return To Neverland" tonight (along with our keyboard player, and yes...the wives came along!) and if you liked the original you will love this. Well written, and keeps the spirit of the original. There's something to be said about not growing up.....
Second star to the left, and on till morning.....
The80sAngel 2-24-02, 01:24 AM *grins* This one is already on my "to see" list. :) Not only do I love everything Disney, but Peter Pan is my hero of sorts. *blushes at that admission* http://www.jordysworld.de/emoticons/liebe29.gif If there would any place I could live besides the reality we exist in now, it would be Neverland. I always wanted to be a Lost Boy (Girl ;) ) too. :D
I've actually heard from a very selective friend ;) that Return to Neverland was great. (and she hated most of the other recent Disney sequels)
mabas9395 2-25-02, 12:41 PM Its great to see so many Disney fans on this board. My wife and I are big time fans. We went to Disneyland for our honeymoon in 95 and just again last august.
I have never been too fond of the sequels that Disney has released the last couple of years as a source of easy money. If they want to do a sequel for Aladin, fine. Lion King and Beauty & Beast, maybe. Little Mermaid, you're really pushing it. But Peter Pan, Lady & Tramp and now Cinderella, you are bordering on blasphemy!!! But if some of you who obviously have good taste in music, say its worth watching, then I suppose I can give it a try. My 5 year old sure has been trying to drag me to go see it.
Mbas, if you're a Disney fan you'll love the movie.
My wife and I are the consumate Disney fans. We've gone to WDW 6 years in a row, and as you can see from my signature we're making it 7 in less than two weeks. We go there so often and stay so long that there are workers...ooops, excuse my mistake, cast members who know us by our first names! Man, the minute I walk onto Main Street USA and see Cinderella's Castle, I become 8 years old again. The only part that sucks is when the vacation is over and we have to grow up again. I keep looking for Peter to come and shake Tink over us so we can fly off to Neverland, but damn...it never happens.
Savedge1 3-02-02, 10:56 AM Haven't seen Return to Neverland yet but it is on my list.
You guys are so lucky to have gone to Disneyworld so many times, Pagan. The hubby and I went for our vacation/make-up honeymoon 2 years ago (my first time, his second). It was a blast. We've decided that when we're old codgers we'll be retired and living in Orlando working in the gift shops at Disneyworld so we can forever be children in the land of Disney. When we were there, we saw Mickey Mouse every day all week and I had my picture taken with him each time (hubby said it was funny seeing me react as if I'd never seen him before, each time we saw him and how it seemed as though I turned into a little girl with Mickey). Hubby loves Winnie the Pooh. He was the oldest person standing in line to meet Pooh and have a loved one take the picture. I gave it to his mom. :D
Sounds like you guys are getting geared up for your next trip. Have fun and be safe!
Thanks Pagan, I've been wanting to see this too! For everyone's information, it's already been announced for a July 9th DVD release date! That's fast, but good! :thumb:

LOL....my wife and I say the same thing! We'll be working there without a doubt!
It's amazing how some people really feel the magic of the place, and it's lost on others. I really feel sorry for those who can't become kids again. It's a great thing to be able to do.....
PS - I get the same way with Mickey, even though I know it's some college kid in the costume!
