Okay, maybe it's just me, but has anyone else seen the commercial for this....Cinderella "freaking" II?!? How on earth did TPTB decide that this would make a good sequal? I mean, at the end of Cinderella, they live HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!!!!!!!! In the commercial, it has Cinderella saying "One day I hope I get this princess thing down." What on earth is up with that? I am SO not getting this, and I am writing to Disney!!!

I know it's an inane rant, but fairy tales like that aren't supposed to have sequals!!

I've seen the ads to this as well, Gretchen. I was wondering why they needed to even make a sequel to the original, but Disney loves making lots of money, and this is guaranteed to bring in the bucks. I'm sure the kids will eat it up, however!!!

I saw the preview for it last night.
I couldn't believe it.. THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER - not They LIved happily ever after or until Cinderella freaks out - -
My son wants to see it.. and ofcourse I will have to watch it with him. I am curious how this one is going to end?

Exactly my point, Sis!!

Just how do you improve on the "happily ever after" thing? I mean, come on, we all have an imagination, why can't they let us use it! So not fair!

Though I am going to see the Peter Pan movie...I like it when he says to the little kids, "don't let them see you cry" and they move around the pole and burst into tears.

I hadn't even heard of this sequel until now. I have seen ads recently for the sequel to Peter Pan, though.

I think these 'sequels' are pretty much updated versions of cartoons for the new generation of kids. 'Happily ever after....' What? You mean to tell me she learned all that crud in a day? That's what they're going for. It sounds stupid to me, too, but hey, some little girl is going to want to be the new Cinderella for Halloween, I bet.

Speaking of 'Happily Ever After', has anyone seen this movie? It's basically a re-telling of Cinderella, but with human characters instead of cartoons. It was actually very good, which surprised me.
