Tomorrow is 80's day at school and I thought it would be cool to be accurately dressed.

Here is a few ideas:

80's band concert shirt
stonewashed jeans w/rips all over
big, spikey belts
small buttons with musicians on a jacket
Don Johnson looking jackets w/a T-shirt underneath
high top sneakers
wear jeans with the legs rolled up at the bottom
Ray-ban shades
Lots of big, gawdy jewelry

If you have a red zipper jacket that would look great. Put lots of mousse in your hair too. How fun to have an 80s day at school. I want one!

Lots of Black jelly braclets.

Sweatshirts with the collars and cuffs ripped off and hanging over one shoulder (girls).

I had Pac-Man and Dukes Of Hazzard t-shirts (one of each). Do they count?

Hey shakey I used to have a pair of canvas boat shoes. We used to curl the laces so they would go all cork screwy but stay really cool looking. I tried to do this for a pair of my daughters' shoes and I was at a total loss :)

I was in the dollar store looking for halloween decorations and they had some earrings there. The long swishy chains are coming back in - remember these? Gawd!

I remember those .. i use to wear them. The longer the better. Sometimes I would wear one chain and in the other ear I would have just a ring w/ a small key on it (like Janet Jackson had, in one of her videos.)

And who could forget the pink/leather jackets rolled up to the sleeves with the Dire Straits 'Money For Nothing' headbands...

Pink/Yellow socks...or maybe no socks at all a la Miami Vice!

I'd forgotten all about head bands! There were so many different ways to wear a head band back then too - rocker one way, Valley girl another :D

Indeed!! They were pretty cool at the time, especially around 1985 in the UK.

They then seem to disappear as quickly as they had arrived. Can't think why... :o

I just had one of those "ephiphany" type memories. I have no idea of why I just remembered this, but does anyone remember those rings girls wore in the mid-80's that you could have engraved? They were some type of thick hard plastic and they came in different colors. I remember having a few, but since they were pretty cheap and cheesy, they eventually broke. It was like the summer/fall of '84 that I remember these being popular
