Hey Y'all,

Does anyone remember this early 80's anime cartoon "Battle Of The Planets"? It was about 5 kids, who were kinda like 'Power Rangers' in 'Transformer' type vehicles. They were known as the G-Force. Why I'm mentioning this is because yesterday I was at Best Buy and noticed that there are two DVD's released, each containing only two episodes, I want to pick 'em up!
As a young teen, I enjoyed watching this show, excitement and adventure! And I must add, my first exposure to anime. What did y'all think?

Oh, sweet! Thanks for the tip on the DVDs, Trixter! (gotta run to Best Buy after work and see if I can snag those for my hubby as a Valentine's gift... maybe then he will watch the rest of Star Blazers with me :D )

I watched G-Force occasionally, and liked it, but my husband was nuts about it. Robotech, G-Force, and Thundercats were his "big three."

I did just find a really fun site about Gatchaman/Battle of the Planets/G-Force... I just joined a webring that it's in... let's see if I can find it...

Is that the one that had a robot "host" in a big computer room?

I loved "G-Force" when I was 5 but some of it was pretty scary compared to North American programming. One of the characters was murdered and I don't think I really understood what that meant.

Chris, I agree, "G-Force" was an intense, adult-oriented cartoon. I recall a lot of bloodshed, but as a teen I didn't give it a thought, it's only now I realize how violent the show was. Nonetheless, still a great show! :thumb:

wern't there was 5 in the group each with a number?

#1 guy annoyed me cause he thought he was soooo good
#2 guy was kinda neurotic (tho i always wished he busted #1's ***)
#3 chick wasn't too bad
#4 & #5 were kinda dumb and annoying

still, i did persist watching it..don't really know why :confused: cause probably now it would drive me insane :goofy:

Yeah, space-invader, each character had numbers on their shirts and I have to agree with you #4 & #5 were annoying! :lol:
