That was neat! So, many of those things described me. Roller skates with metal wheels, taping songs off the radio with a portable tape recorder (also did them off the T.V. too), owned an Easy Bake Oven, had the ribbons in my hair, and there was a few more.

shrinky dinks were the coolest.
little rubbery colorful looking characters that you put in the oven and bake. the come out plastic, flat figures. (if memory serves me right)
kids playing with ovens..
-their schemes failed, i guess..
haha

i would tape love songs off the radio on my tape recorder. later when i'd listen, there would be some awful, silly male voice in the middle of the song, singing the lyrics instead of the singer. oh, that made me so mad!! haha.

I know the feeling, Vilji! My little sister would come in the room and purposely would start talking while I would record.

That's so embarrasing..those things totally describe my life in the 80's. Loved Holly Hobby..had friendship pins on my nikes shoes. (The plain white ones with the red swoosh) Taped songs off the radio..spent all day by the radio for them to play songs for me to tape.

Oh yeah, let's not forget about Strawberry Shortcake or My Little Mermaid, Pony, and Pound Puppies. Did anyone have a Barbie Dream House? I had a Barbie Town House with the little elevator. Until my brother broke it.

Vilji, that sounds so fun. Except I'm not allowed to play with lightbrights anymore. I got my finger stuck in the back of one and the light bulb burned my finger.I still have the scar. If I'm real careful maybe I can play. The barbie dream houses were the ultimate. I loved my pink barbie corvette too. My mom said you can all come over. We can even have a slumber party. Just let me know what night!!! <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">

i was never really into the barbie dreamhouses and all her clothes and cars. i had barbie, though, with some different outfits. i'd just grab my friend's Ken doll, take Barbie, and see how many creative dates they could go on in his car...)not to mention some of the creative positions they could manage when he started the moves on her.
