Perhaps somebody here who knows their videos could help me. I remember reading that the video for Laura Branigan's "Self-Control" (directed by William Friedkin, who also directed the movies "The Exorcist" and "The French Connection") was either banned from MTV or had to have some major editing done to make it on the air. Can anybody confirm this? And if so, what was so explicit about the video? (The song seems to talk about prostitution, so that could be a clue right there.)
