It has been rumored that J-Lo will have a cameo in the latest installment of the Austin Powers series.

Also, Madonna has recorded a new song for the film which may be used as the main song and be released as a single. Madonna had great success with "Beautiful Stranger" from "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me".

Anyone have any other news on this anticipated release?

I had heard that Madonna would be recording the movie's theme song; no surprise there, and she and Mike Meyers are good friends! I hope the movie is as funny as The Spy Who Shagged Me, which was a laugh riot!!! :D

To be honest, I just hadn't heard anything about this at all....but I am now really looking forward to seeing this one! Poor Aron, having to sit through that movie with me!!!

I hope it will be as funny as the first two movies. I think it is great that Madonna is singing the title song. Beautiful Stranger was such a good song.

I can't wait until this movie comes out. I loved both movies already. And Madonna did a wonderful job on "Beautiful Stranger".

I just heard on E! that the producers of the James Bond movies are suing Mike Meyers' production company over the name of the new Austin Power's flick, Goldemember . They have slapped them with a cease and desist order to change the name of the film! The old Fuddy-Duddies. That was the perfect name for the movie!!! :mad:

Yikes! It seems that Mike Meyers is really having a bad time of it! Wasn't he also sued for backing out of his "Dieter" film? This latest legal action against him is ridiculous, 'Spy Who Shagged Me' wasn't sued for sounding similar to 'The Spy Who Loved Me'(if this is indeed one of the reasons for the lawsuit)! Frivilous! :devil:

These movies studios don't get it. It's a joke, plus I'm sure it might get new fans to buying the James Bond movies. They aren't seeing the BIG picture here.:rolleyes:

Here is the story:

Title Note: (6/6/00) There's no official subtitle for this film yet, but fans online are having plenty of fun making them up. Basically, you take a movie title (preferably James Bond), twist it into a double-entendre, and voila, you've got an Austin title. This site will not be printing any of the rumored titles until it's vaguely official (ie, from either Mike Myers or New Line Cinema). (9/6/01) Austin Powers in Goldmember is it. (1/26/02) Not so fast. E! Online reported yesterday that MGM sent a cease-and-desist order to New Line, over the parody of their Bond property, Goldfinger, resulting in the recall of all posters, teasers, images, etc. with that title, including the official site, which had already been fully launched. Now, New Line has to go back to the drawing board... egads. (1/29/02) The working title New Line Cinema is now using is The Next Austin Powers Movie.

The new Austin Powers movie supposedly went into production sometime in the last 2 or 3 months. The scheduled release date is July, 2002.

Unrelated, the Scooby Doo movie is supposedly coming out in June. I've seen a few background pictures and watched the teaser trailer. It SUCKS. Scooby looks NOTHING like the cartoon. The teaser is about 1:30 and you don't see ANYBODY until about the last 5 seconds, when you see Scooby BRIEFLY, he says one line, and the teaser is over.

I really think Scooby is going to bomb at the theater.

Anyway, looking forward to the third and final Austin Powers.
