Best 80's Europop song ever?

Tarzan Boy...always liked that one, very catchy!:D

Out of those, gotta go with 'I Can't Wait' They're also somewhat in the Freestyle category with some of their music, so gotta represent :lol::D

I went for Nu Shooz - I Can't Wait.

I didn't realise that they were Europop, I always seemed to think they were Canadian for some reason.

Nu Shooz.....I can't wait. It reminds me of Tuesday nights down at "Jerry's".......25cent drafts.....$1.50 pitchers. They had the best sound system.....especially for the 80's. Later on in the evening...everyone would be totally plastered and they would get up on the tables to The Bird by......Morris Day and the Time (?) (Hope I'm right on that one) Right after that....we'd get crazy with Billy Idol's MONY MONY (C'mon...get laid get ******) I'll just censor myself if you don't mind. :devil:

I have no idea if any of those songs were actually released in the US....I was kinda aiming the poll at the 80's exchange Euro community also.

I voted for Voyage Voyage. I still listen to this song a lot. It is a great dance song too. Very good French song.

I voted for Baltimora's "Tarzan Boy". We used to try and sing that song in school. It was a favorite on the bus to games too! Ahhh, the memories!! :thumb:

I voted for "Tarzan Boy" as well. I only recognized that song and "I Can't Wait". The others do not ring a bell to me. Maybe if I heard them.

I would have voted for "Pop Musik" by M but, it wasn't a choice. So i had to vote for 2nd best...'I can't wait"!!!!!!

Hmm, Pop Muzik by M - I've never really thought of that as 'Europop' before.

I was kinda thinking more like the song that you used to hear on holiday in Europe and then bought when you got back home.

I can't wait. It is still a good song to dance to on eighties nights.

Not sure that 'Goombay Dance Band' is really Europop, more of a slow samba song?

Dolce Vita is the best of theses songs! I actually like all of them beside Modern Talking, i just never cared for their music, maybe that's because i cannot stand Dieter Bohlen.

I liked Nu Shooz but it doesn't sound Europop to me so I'll go with Tarzan Boy. The video was cheapo though :) Anyone know why the song got released with the Ninja Turtles movie?

Voyage voyage is a good song! It is all french and about traveling, as the title already says, but as my french is really bad, i just remeber a few phrases out of it:

Well, umm...ya know me... :D ...but technically, Ryan Paris' "Dolce Vita" is Italo Disco, not Europop (same is valid for Baltimora's "Tarzan Boy").
Nu Shooz (from Portland, OR) were rather regarded as R'n'B - and if one is very, very correct on terms (we Germans are really good at this :lol: ), their location alone disqualifies the track as Europop. ;)

I LOVE Ryan Paris Dolce Vita. It's a shame it was not a hit here in North America. It was such a wonderful song

DEFINITELY Tazan Boy - it came out when I was 7, I am now 20 years older, and I still can't get the damn song out of my head. I've just found it and am back in 1985!

Voyage Voyage was cool - I seem to remember another French song, at least I think it was French, I can't remember thwe lyrics, only the tune and 'Ella Ella'.

Without a doubt it's "I Can't Wait" by Nu Shooz. Man, everytime I hear that song it makes me wanna dance!

From this list Voyage Voyage, but being an European I can think of about 100 europop songs that are way better. Best is hard to say, but I have a top 5.
