Seems to me that he's combining the movements of sex and dancing. He is definitely meeting up with this girl for some animal lust type nookie. lol

He says 'move over mister, step back in the crowd', which to me says he is telling other guys to stay away from his woman, she's here with him and she's going home with him.

I think, and this is gonna sound strange, but I think that he is talking about raping a girl. He is talking in the first verse about how he is out on teh prowl so to speak, and he is gonna give it to her until it hurts. Then, as an afterthought he is telling her to "lighten up" as if it is okay for him to be doing it because "he's in love with her"

The second verse pretty much goes about the same theme, and the third I see as somebody sees him doing it, and he tells them basically to screw off, he is getting him some. And then he tells her "lighten up baby, I'm in love with you"

Or maybe its about drugs, right TC?

That was my reading of the song. I just don't see where a rape would come into it. It's more of a pursuit of her and what he wants to happen.
