Do you have any secrets from when you were growing up that you never shared with your friend?

When I was growing up, in my neighborhood, we had 3 families that had kids all near each other. My best friend, Cindi and her brother Ron, and my brothers best friend John and his sister MaryAnn. Well, when Cindi and I were about 7 or 8, I took her diary from her house. When it came up missing, I told her that John took it. She told her older brother, Ron, who went over to their house with a b.b. gun and shot out about 4 windows. Then, of course, her diary showed up in MaryAnn's bedroom.

I have NEVER told Cindi this!!! And to this day, if this subject is brought up, she goes totally ballistic and rants for about an hour.

Anyone have anything to share and get off their chests?!?;)

One comes to mind that I kept for around ten years.

I was around 12 years old at the time and it was a church lunch and I poured dish washing liquid into a bottle of orange cordial.

One boy drank a glass and was extremely sick afterwards. I never found out just how bad, but it was bad none the less.

I ran into the guy about ten years later and admitted that it was I who had pulled that dangerous stupid prank. He agreed that it was dangerous and stupid, but fortunately there were no hard feelings.

I was a bit of a pyromaniac when I was about seven or so. It was in the winter, just after Christmas, and I was playing in the hayshed behind the stables on my father's horse farm in Kentucky. I was playing with some toy soldiers and I thought it would be cool to start a little mini-fire with a box of matches I took from the cupboard. After a while, I got bored and thought that I had put the little fire out and went into the house. About an hour or so later, one of the farm hands came running to the house yelling that the stables were on FIRE!!! My father was out of the house on business, but my mother went running to the stables. I could see the smoke pouring from the stables. Several neighbors pulled into the driveway and then four firetrucks and emergency squad arrived along with the police. I was squirming in my Incredible Hulk underoos, I assure you!!! The hayshed was completely demolished as well as half of the stable, but all of the horses (including my father's pride stud, Dark Victory) were rescued, thank the lord. The police did a perfunctory investigation and concluded that the hay that had been stored in the shed spontaneously combusted!!! I was off the hook! Insurance covered the cost of replacing the stable, but I carried around the knowledge that I had started that fire in my conscience for many years after. Needless to say, I never played with matches ever again!!!

Phew, confession is good for the soul!!! But nobody tell my dad, as he doesn't know to this day!!!

Yeah! I have one I don't talk about much. When I was about 10 years old, I went out with a friend on his paper route. There was this one old lady that lived in an apartment in this alley. We decided to knock on her door and run. Bad idea! The next day, the front page of the newspaper had a story about an attempted robbery there. Man, I spazzed. For a couple of days, I just freaked out wondering what to do. Finally, when I couldn't take it anymore, I told my Dad. That's when I really freaked out. He called the police!

They came and took me to the police station, filled out a bunch of reports and then I had to go to court. The judge really gave me crap about it (not that I didn't deserve it).

That one really embarasses me.

Well....my husband and I had been friends for about two years, and he was dating my best friend (at the time). She was falling for her brother-in-law who was staying with the family while his wife was on a ship (Navy). Well, we got together about 3 days before he broke it off with her. I never told her this, and I cried forever, because she was my best friend. I told her before she started dating my husband that I'd had a crush on him since day 1, so she had some warning, but I still felt like crud.

Well, long story short, I'm married to the guy, she and I are still friends (though not best friends), and she is married to her ex-brother-in-law. But she thinks we got together a week after their break-up. I still haven't told her differently. Do you think it would make a difference if I did? I can only imagine the scene her sister made.....

In highschool, there was a group of lockers and the people who belonged to them smelled really bad, it was always a joke about the stench coming out of the lockers. So one day my friend and I, brought in about 50 pounds of frozen cod fish, stuck it in an empty locker beside their's and locked it with our own lock. Well after a couple days it started to smell really bad, at first the vice principal, would come on the PA and ask whoever owned the locker could they come take out their lunch or clean it, finally after 1/2 the school just reeked of rotten fish and some sort of liquid was coming out of the locker, they sent the janitor to cut the lock, when the door swung open, the smell was unbelievable, they had to evacuate the school, I guess the janitor cursed and swore that they could fire him, he wasn't cleaning it. So in came the police to investigate as well as the health dept as it right outside the cafeteria. What was supposed to be a carefree practical joke on people who were less than hygienic, became a full blown problem even making it into the newspaper. The worst part was we couldn't tell anyone cause we were terrified of being ratted out:hammer:
