Thank God. A few weeks ago I was surfing through my cable when I found something new was added. It is called VH-1 Classic. They have a show called We are the 80s. It is like MTV 'used' to be.

It show 80s videos I have not seen for a long time. Some I never saw before like New Order's 'Blue Monday'.

I have VH-1 Classics on Digital Comcast. I love the We Are The Eighties segments, I kept the tv on this channel most of the time just to see if I can catch an old classic video that hasn't been played to death. Every once and a while, I will see one that I haven't seen in forever and it brings back some great memories!!!

I will leave the television on during this show in hopes of catching a real classic. The "We Are The 80's" segments are repeated 2-3 times a day and there are usually 3 different segments a day.
When I first got 'VH1 Classics' I kept it there all day long, reminiscing! :)

We don't have the extra VH1 channels. :cry: My daddy doesn't want anymore, he doesn't like those channels. :cry:

I love VH-1 Classics also. Here's the scoop:

Mondays: There is two different "We Are The 80's" that will run a total of 3 times a day. (VH-1 Classic runs in a 8 hour loop starting around 5 am Central).

Tuesdays: No "We Are The 80's" because they play "Tuesday Twoplay"

Wednesdays: There is just one "We Are The 80's" that will run 3 times in a 24 hour period.

Thursdays: Two "We Are The Eighties" again.

Fridays: One "We Are The Eighties".

Saturdays and Sundays: Will repeat various "We Are The 80's" during the day that were shown during the week.

Thanks for the We Are the Eighties schedule, Stacy. I hate Tuesday Twoplay, as they don't usually play a lot of 80s videos on Tuesdays, just lots of concert performances from the late 70s!!!

I still don't have digital cable--so the only music video channels that can be had here are BET (Black Entertainment Television), BET-Jazz (aka The Jazz Channel?), CMT (Country Music Television), MTV and VH-1.

But, MTV 2 is available...on broadcast TV.

Two Jackson, Mississippi TV stations are MTV 2-affiliated:

WBXK-CA, channel 8
WJXF-LP, channel 49


Occasionally, MTV 2 (formerly, The Box) will play a few '80s videos.
