Two great tunes, but which one was the best?

I voted for "Broken Wings". This song has personal meaning to me, and helped me through a rough period. "Kyrie" was a good song too, but I could really never understand what he was singing about, maybe I just didn't listen very well. :)

I have to say Kyrie, I've always loved that song!!:) I like Broken Wings too, but not like Kyrie!

I would go with "Broken Wings". I really liked that song the best of the two.

I like both songs also but I like Broken Wings better.

Broken Wings! Kyrie is a good song, but it always sounded like a typical follow-up single to me.

This was a tough choice, but I always liked "Kyrie" so I gave it the slighter edge over "Broken Wings".

I had to go with 'Kyrie Elaison'! I loved 'Broken Wings', but I am with Sarg on this one. This one makes you put a little bounce to your ounces. LOL

We did this my senior year in Marching Band. I loved the routine, and I loved that song.

Since there are only these both songs in the poll, I had chosen 'Broken Wings'...but 'Is It Love?' outruns them both IMO.
Too bad that this song never got much attention here...I´m still wondering why. :rolleyes:

Broken Wings will always be one of my all time favourite songs. Brings back memories of good times, which I funnily enough had very few of in the 80s. I guess it's songs like these that make the 80s great for me, because they helped me get through.

It reminds me of riding home from work with my two best friends, all three of us crammed in the front seat of my dad's Reliant K, heater blasting on a cold October night, with all the windows rolled down, singing at the top of our lungs.:D

Although I like both songs, I chose "Broken Wings". It's easier to understand.:)

I loved both of these songs, so it was rather difficult to chose. I ended up voting for "Kyrie". I don't hear this song played as much on the radio as "Broken Wings"... :)

I never liked "Broken Wings." It just didn't click with me, IMO, I thought the lead singer sounded kind of whiny. Not that "whiny" in itself normally bothers me... it's just this one song. ;) I love "Is it love" and "Kyrie," though.

My husband always thought that "Kyrie eleison down the road that I must travel" was "Carrying a laser down the road that I must travel." LOL! Apparently that's a pretty common misconception, if you go to any of those fun "misheard lyrics" sites like www.amiright.com . (no connection to the site, it just amuses me)

I voted for Broken Wings. It was hard to decide. They are both good songs. It was a question of my mood today. Maybe I would have voted for Kyrie tomorrow.

For those who had trouble understanding the lyrics, "Kyrie Elaison" means "Lord have mercy". That may make the song make more sense. :D

I went for Kyrie, it's a bit more upbeat than the other one.

That is a cute and funny poll, Chopper. I like both of the songs. I voted for Broken Wings, but it was a close race.

"Kyrie", but only because I have sentimental feelings about it. Whenever I hear it, it reminds me of the Catholic masses I used to love when I was a child. (I grew out of the Church and it's doctrine, but never really out of the beautiful latin hymns.)

I will have to choose Broken Wings.. it holds alot of memories.
Everytime I hear it I break down and cry:cry: It is so beautiful.

I chose Broken Wings..I always think of an episode of Silver Spoons when I hear that song. I never really watched that show..but I always remember the one episode I actually watched..I think Ricky Shroeder was breaking up with this girl, and Broken Wings was their song.

Kyrie, though Is It Love was better than both of them.

Still, I voted for Kyrie because it's more rock n' roll.

I really, really like Broken Wings and made my friends crazy in searching for the single back in the late 80s, but Kyrie is still my favourite. Maybe because it is from the year i activly started to listen to music, read music magazines,..
