Are there any good sites out there where you can download music ala Napster? If so, what are they?

I use Morpheus You can download it at MUSICCITY.COM Vey easy to use. If you have cable, VERY fast downloads.

Try KaZaa Red, best one yet...not only can you download music, but you can also download MPGs, programs, etc. Pretty awesome...

If you don´t mind that it´s a German site which is written in German and features almost entirely German artists, then you may want to try out mp3.de (http://www.mp3.de/).

mp3.de is featuring unsigned artists of nearly any imaginable genre. You can listen to the tracks before downloading them, this helps you with the selection.

Oh...and I guess that most of them are singing in English. ;)

By far and away the best is WinMX. Not only is it in Napster layout, it is the fastest growing of the lot which means loads of availability. Like Audiogalaxy it hosts generally better quality of files over Kazaa and Grokster which seem to stick to 128kps files.

Also a pretty blistering file transfer rate too. Grab someone on a cable link, and you are looking at over 5.20kps with a 56k..... :thumb:

Personally, I like Morpheus from musiccity.com - Here, you can also download programs, movies, videos - any type of file on a computer...

To me, it's the same as Napster - only better...

I use Morpheus also and so for my downloads have been fast......at least 30kps sometimes faster. I have seen 80kps......in other words I can get a 4 min. song in about 1 min.

I remember when Napster was the big thing. I got a song in 17 seconds :eek: NO LIE!!

No way am I going back to a 56k modem! :mad:
