Hey Y'all,

Does anyone remember Jane Child and her one hit, "I Don't Wanna Fall In Love"? I used to really dig Jane and her funky look.:thumb: That spiked hair and long braids. She was cool and I really liked her voice, too bad she never went further in her singing career, or did she? Does anyone know what she's been up to lately?

Jane Child had awesome hair!:D That was a great song, however I think it was actually from '90 or '91. That's the only song I've ever heard by her. It's a shame because she had a great voice.

I loved that song!!

When I was wilder and younger, my friends and I would pile into the car, get totally drunk, and listen to that song! (*okay....don't do that now....drinking and driving don't mix!*) We just never understood the nose to ear piercing....call us sheltered!!! We were in the freaking suburbs!!

I like Don't Wanna Fall In Love (the song's actual title, by the way), too.

Hey txgirl, I was starting to think I was the only one who had anything by Jane Child. :)

No, you were not the only one. I thought she was totally cool with the hair(braids) and piercings. I had many at the time myself.

The song indeed is from 1990. She was awesome! The only other hit she had was called "Welcome to the real world"

Thanks for the update djdaffy, I was sure her album was released in 1989. Yes, now I remember "Welcome To The Real World", it was a good song.

Jane Child was Canadian. She had another popular hit here in Canada in 1993 called Do Watcha Do :)
