I just have to peep in to say awesome work both daffy and wave for providing such an exensive list and resource :) I think this should be a part of the main site somehow...at the very least the U.S. charts...hmmmmmm.....

Thanks. :)
But, I´d like to object against that point that only the U.S. Charts may find a place on the main page.
Sure, I know that the Europeans (and especially the Germans ;)) are only and sadly in the minority of all xchangers here. Speaking for me, I´m also interested in the charts of other countries, for reasons of simple curiosity and the fact that some titles never made it here to any notation - which is (mostly) a pity. Without this site, I would have missed a lot of very cool tracks, like Debbie Debs 'Weekend', InSocs 'What´s On Your Mind' and many more.
And...it was a helluva work for me, since I don´t own a reference book for the charts. I had to crosscheck the entries of Daffy with another website - this explains the frequent 'changes' in my messages. Also, I would like to see them for a future reference and not letting them drown in the flood of posts. :D
My suggestion: to set up a page in which all relevant charts are listed, the U.S, UK and German Charts for a start. Later (depends on who´s willing to submit them), the Australian and French charts might be added, too.
Just my 2 cents (yeah, now we have them here, too...).

I agree with Wave, I am VERY interested in other countries charts. I have a reference book on UK charts in which I could find all top 40 80's hits there as well. I would love to see one of our Austrailian friends give us info on their top 40 80's hits.
I too would like to see the charts from other countries! :thumb:

I only said that because it seems on the German listings there's a lot of 'no listing' spots on there that make it look so short. If you could come up with a complete listing like daffy has to the U.S. of the German charts, that would be great! :D

Oh...okay - misunderstood your posting, Roem. :goofy:
Allright...so I will set up own threads with the German Top 20. This means that I will end my contributions to Daffy´s Charts - but why setting up double posts?
And now I´m heading for the Kitty Kave for receiving some deserved punishment for my stupidity. :D

It's not stupid wave...what you're contributing to daffy's posts is a nice comparison which wouldn't really be double posting...a complete listing and a comparison to U.S. charts is actually pretty cool....a lot of work, but pretty cool non-the-less :)

Just to let you know....I'm using Joel Witburn's Top pop singles 1955-1999 for reference. It includes all hot 100 singles, so I may miss a song here or there, if anyone sees a mistake, feel free to correct it.
