Josette! You vaguely remember me don't you from The Tour Bus and Metaledge baords?! We both like Alice Cooper! Not to worry, though I have always enjoyed your posts and have never had any problem with anything you have said or anything, so your identity is safe around here. This site is still small and growing, so I think you'll like it here. I have started coming here more and more. Take care and welcome.

WOW Scandal you are friendly! Boy am I relieved!I admit that I cringed when I got the email notifacation with your reply!Since I am new here, although my reputation usually preceeds me, you will hopefully observe that my claws only come out when I am attacked! Then I have trouble retracting them though....
Anyway...did you see my posts about my reunion with Neal Smith? I am so absolutely thrilled about seeing him again and we are making plans to hook up for a cocktail or 2 soon...I can't wait! I was absolutely CRAZY about him in the 70's and he dumped me and made me VERY sad.....so I am SO happy to be on such great terms with him now, and it will give me WONDERFUL shit to write about for my book!

This is a lousey photo of me with Neal...I thinkk HE looks great though!

Heck yeah I sw it Josette. I think it is very cool. Some people are just jealous because you have lived life a little and met some cool people, and others want to be in your shoes. The thing about that board is, I have to pick my spots to state my opinions, because alot of it is ids, and they are going to find fault with whatever you say or do. Some people think they can put others down all the time. It takes a real big person to put others down when they are sitting behind a computer. The fact is you don't know them, and they don't know you. I guess because I am 30 years old, is ee it in a more grown up way, and I am a Christian who happens to like to rock. I never understood why people take shots at you so much, and a person can only take so much. What was ironic was some of the would hound you forever and then when you defend yourself, then you are being difficult. It is such hypocrisy. I really like it over here, even though it is small, because there isn't much of that over here. I am glad you are here and you are cool in my book. By the way,Alice is doing a very theatrical show this time around and doing alot of the original group's hits in the show. The new album Brutal Planet is coming June 6th, I hope you will buy it,or we may have to fight(wink)! Take care and see you on the board soon.

WOW that is such a nice way of looking athe situation! I expose myself to all kinds of harrassment by making my life an open book with the photos and the stories for all to see.And I will say I know I went VERY "out there" in my responses at times, but I felt they deserved a good kick in the balls!
`But I have met some REALLY nice people, both male and female who I have even met in person because of internet message boards!
Nico and I are going to see Ringo this Wednesday! I never met him before....but my good friend Simon Kirk is playing with him so I am going to hound Simon to introduce me!

Hi, Josette. I see you're from New York as well. Anyways, welcome.. The reason I don't visit the Metal Edge message boards anymore is because I didn't like the way people had treated you there.. They're not the kind of group I want here either. Everyone lives life in the best way they can and try their best to be happy. Live and let live.. Otherwise, this is a nice group of people we have here so I know there wont be any trouble. It's a good community and it's going to stay that way...

Hey SAl...
Well I have to say Metal Edge is still one of my favorites. Gerri is very good at putting an and straight away when they start their name calling....unlike someother sites that fuel it to increase the hits to the board.
Not much going on in NY that I see....Bowie in a few weeks.
Thanks for the welcome!

I don't think you should have anything to worry about in here, Josette. We're all pretty open minded here and easy going. It's your life, live it how you like!! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif David Bowie and Gene Simmons! I grew up loving KISS, especially Paul Stanley http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Still admire Bowie. How can you not, hey?

Hi Josette! Welcome to the board http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif I wish I had been born even 5 years earlier because although I loved being in my teens during the 80s I didn't really get to experience everything to the fullest. My friend's mom moved here a few years ago from England to be closer to her daughter and her new grandson and she is one of the coolest people I've met not to mention she's been with the entire band Slade. I'm going to check out your site http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

Welcome Josette! You don't have to worry about people on this board, everyone's pretty cool. As for me personally, I've been playing in bands for 22 years...so I have the utmost respect for groupies! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/wink.gif

You said nothing is going on in NY? You should check out either ATELLO or my band LIVESAY. We're opening for Mr. Big on June 3rd at L'Amour in Brooklyn. Then ATELLO is opening for them at the Birch Hill in Old Bridge, NJ.

Anyway...welcome!

Sorry, I don't know who Br. Big is...you can clue me in though!
L'Amour is a hike for me....but Birch Hill even though it's such a dump, is somewhere I go occasionally. In fact Nico and I will be going there this Fridy to see Apartment26. The singer in Apartment, Biff, is my ole friend Terry Buttler's (Geezer) son!
Be sure and let me know whenever your playing....Nico and I will get there sooner or later!

Welcome Josette! You'll have to let us know when the book is out, one of my fave books is Pamela De Barres book "I'm with the Band".
Although I was a teen in the 80's, I had my fare share of "parties" with bands.
You go Girl, I believe jeolousy is the main reason people feel the need to dump on you, that and a total lack of understanding of the music scene.
I look forward to your posts!!

http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif Like I said. Everyone is just trying their best to be happy in life. It's not easy. Sometimes we make mistakes along the way. But if you personally feel you've done the right thing for you, then that's great. Other people's opinions do not count.

I wasn't going to read Pam's book at first, because I didn't want to be influenced. But I did, and I'm glad. Her book is from a totally different perspective then mine will be. She seems to have fallen in love with everyone she slept with and then cried broken hearted waiting for calls that never came.. I was a party girl...had one major love, Jeff Beck...and 3 minor ones...Ian Gillan,Neal Smith and John Bonham...everyone else was just for fun!
