Does anyone remember Starpoint and their song "Object of My Desire" from about '85-'86? It's one of my favorite dance songs.
I can't remember for sure, but I think the group was semi-local to Annapolis so I'm not certain how much airplay they got in other parts of the world, but the song is on a compilation album with some more well-known songs. Just wondering if anyone else has heard of it.
They did get a lot of air play in the Houston area. I bet they got a lot everywhere, the song was a top 40 hit (went to 25 in '85.)
And yes I liked it, still do. :)

I picked up the cassette that song is on. I love that band. I should get their follow-up while it's still in the 99-cent area at the music store.

I think Starpoint is from Annapolis, but I'm relying on my memory from almost 17 years ago.
I did find their website, but it didn't have any biographical information or history on the group. The fan club and "contact us" address is in Annapolis. I called the number, but it's been disconnected.
