This 1986 album turned out such hits as "Sledgehammer", "Red Rain", "Big Time", and of course "In Your Eyes". Peter Gabriel is, in my opinion, a great songwriter and singer. This is one of his best albums to date.

On this album he worked with Stewart Copeland (drummer of The Police) and Kate Bush (which does some vocal work on the song, "Don't Give Up").

Another "must have" for an 80's collection. My track pics for this album are : "Red Rain", "In Your Eyes", and "Don't Give Up".

Tracks:

1. Red Rain
2. Sledgehammer
3. Don't Give Up
4. That Voice Again
5. In Your Eyes
6. Mercy Street
7. Big Time
8. We Do What We're Told milgram's 37

It's great. My favorite is Don't Give Up followed by In Your Eye's, Mercy Street and Sledgehammer. Hearing this tape earlier this week was like welcoming an old friend. :thumb:

2 things...

First of all I HATED "Don't Give Up" and considered it an embarassment to the whole album. I thought Kate Bush's voice was like fingernails on a chalkboard and the song was just too slow and boring. But... I know that the song usually does get much critical acclaim, so I must be missing something.

And.. although you listed the album's eight tracks, there was also a 9th song if you had the cassette and it was one of my favorites on the whole album...
