Hey. I noticed you hadn't added this event to the calendar. Do you know how to, Stacy?

I forgot to. All you do is pick the date you want and check the box that you want it on the calendar, right?

Here's some more info from Rock-on TV:

Hosted by Emilio Estevez, this five-hour program will count down the 80 best music videos of the '80s.

The 1980's was the decade where, through the power of music video, a new breed of rockstar came to life. Video became the great equalizer. A whole array of different artists were brought under one roof and presented together to a new mass audience. Metal, pop, new wave or southern rock - it didn't matter. We're going to take a look at the landmark music videos that started the revolution and pioneered a new art form. Pop culture, television and the music industry would never be the same again.

We'll present the top 80 videos of the 80's, as well as brand new, exclusive interviews with the era's biggest stars. We've selected these videos based by overall importance to the artist's careers, impact on 80's style, eye-catching technical achievement and, of course, musical innovation.

Here are some of the artists that will be featured:
The Go-Go's
Whitney Houston
Metallica
Poison
Pat Benatar
Bon Jovi
John Mellencamp
U2
The Bangles
Madonna
Bruce Springsteen
Van Halen
The Clash
Janet Jackson
Talking Heads
Aerosmith
Michael Jackson
Prince
Run-DMC

A reminder that this airs later on today. I am curious to see what videos they pick.

It should be interesting, Stacy. I do know that Madonna has more than one video on the countdown. She was listed under the third and I think, the fifth hours of the countdown.

That's right, Stacy. You got it. In this particular forum, when you post a message, you can set it right at the bottom. Or, of course, you can go right to the calendar to set it up...

I posted the event into the calendar before I read this thread, then I found out that Stacy had already posted about the special. I guess I should have looked over the threads first, but its on the calendar. :)

Well I watched the countdown today. I have to say it was one of the better countdowns I agree with that VH-1 has had. I was surprised to see Michael Jackson's "Thriller" was not #1 on this countdown since it seems to be on any other. Anyone else see it?

I watched it. It was good, now all VH-1 has to do is play the countdown again, but show each video in it's entirety. That would really be cool!

I know! I hate when they butcher up a video you haven't seen in a long time.
