Hi all. Since 'other' 80s websites seem to like copying our look (amongst other things) - no mentioning of names, please - I'll be working on a new, fresh design for 80sxchange.com - The message board will be the same but the rest of the site will be different. I MAY update the LOOK of the message board as time goes on. This whole process will begin as soon as I get my PC at home. Anyway, only the LOOK of the message board will be updated IF I decide to go that route. It will still work the same as it does now - so nothing new to learn...

This is the first 80's site I ever found and have never been anywhere else and never plan too unless I'd like to see the copycats. On second thought I don't care to see the copycats, I like it here.

So Sal, is this a brand spankin' new design? or the one that you proposed to us a while back? I always had fun re-designing my site...always interesting with a new look <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">

I like the idea of changing the site a little, Sal... not that I don't already love our look... but a fresh start is okay, too... It doesn't really matter to me that other sites may look like ours, though, Sal... that's just on the OUTSIDE... but on the INSIDE our site has proven to be on a totally different level.. a great group of people who post messages AND reply frequently.. instead of just the onwers and mods chatting back and forth... we just have a great interest in the 80s and you know how to present it to us, Sal.

I mean.. the figures speak for themselves.. we have so many members and so much activity on our site that no other can possibly come close...
I mean.. we even have a chat room for us members that is always hopping and it hasn't taken away from our message base at all!

What do the rest of you think? Agree?

I totally agree tin, We'v Become More of a society Then Just A Simple Message Board. its Just Like Our Own Little village Of sorts.

aarrghh! Sal, I didnt know where to post this, but all weekend (and still today) I haven't been able to access the 80's site. My computer is only a year old! It goes easily to all the other sites I have bookmarked, or type in. I've tried all kinds of thing. Clearing the memory storage, setting it on low security, making sure java is enabled..i even called the local internet company, and she walked me through steps to make sure my connections; settings were right. I don't know what to do.

and i'm having withdrawls..
i guess i'm an 80's addict/junkie

its just not the same being on here in a classroom at school..
