Look at this list. Come on, not all of these bands are to be considered "Hair bands", which is a bogus media term that refers to bands that came out between 1983-1992; who just happen to have big hair. Some of these bands were already established acts prior to 1983.

Warrant
Poison

How can you not have Poison in the top as a hair band. They are the definition of a hair band. I am hesitant to put Bon Jovi in because they have stood the test of time better than any but others would consider them a hair band so I have to give them their props!

Twisted Sister

Nobody rocked harder and they definitely had their own style. Nobody even tried to copy them (you have to admit, there were a lot of bands that looked and sounded alike). They didn't try to look cute, they wanted to look ugly (like your prom date from hell). I realize that it is probably a good thing that there wasn't a lot of TS wannabes, I just wanna see them get some recognition, because they rocked.

Have you seen nikki six's hair lately? colored and way the hell up there....Vinces? was still long last spring i saw them in concert.. they are still so glam and keepin it real...anyway they kept it glam and were still loved that was something poison was missing....Twisted sister....they went right over the edge to the cross dress...they went and went hard....WOOOHOOOOO My other choices are..

You're right, Ty and Canopy, Cinderella was great! Ever since I saw them open for Bon Jovi on the Long Cold Winter/ Slippery When Wet Tours, I have been highly impressed with them. Bon Jovi as well. Both bands proved they weren't just prettyboy bands, they rocked and kicked ass in concert.

How can you prefer Poison The had no Logivity, the Crue is still around and Rockin and has released a bunch of albums that are either better or even!

Poison was great but The Crue surpasses them on every level, Nikki Sixx is a much better Lyricist than all of Poison.
The Crue is much Motlier and Has sold more records
And is one of the biggest bands right now in 2005 how incredible is that!!!!

Got to be Bonjovi first, then Def Lep, followed by Poison, then Ratt,then Cinderella. Afrter that, I really don't know. It's hhard to say because they are all good.
