I know this isn't exactly a "league" sport but what the heck. We were discussing this a while back somewhere in the Members Lounge.

The Canadian and American women's teams will be playing another three four games against each other leading up to the olympics.

November 27th - Ottawa (Corel Centre)
November 28th - Montreal (Molson Centre)
November 30th - Hamilton (Copps Coliseum)
January 8th - Vancouver (General Motors Place)

All games will be on TSN in Canada. Don't know about U.S. coverage.

This rivalry should be one of the high points in Salt Lake City. They absolutely hate each other and play all the time. :D

Old time hockey...

My girlfriend used to play gaelic football with Geraldine Heaney who will be playing defence on the Canadian hockey team.

We love our American cousins......but Geraldine, go get 'em. :D

The womens hockey is pretty good to watch, but the only 2 good teams are Canada and the U.S. So I don't know why they would allow it as an Olympic Sport yet when their are only 2 competive teams with Finland a distant 3rd and then China, Sweden and Russia pulling up the rear. Bogie I know a couple of the players from the past (Angela James used to ref a couple of my intramural games, and Stacey Wilson lives in the town I live)

LOL Nolan. Actually, the U.S. won the last two games between the teams in October. 4-1 was the score in both games.

It's gonna be great fun by the time the Olympics roll around. :D

Cal's right about the two teams being really dominant though. But hey, when they added men's hockey to the olympics, the U.S. and Canada were stomping on everyone else. Now look how competitive it is.
