I know there are quite a few Yanks fans here, so I want to congratulate your team on their historic comeback. And to tell you that it's killing me. They will win the World Series this year....again. So I can save myself the next few weeks of my life by not watching it happen....again. It's not that I hate the Yankees, quite the contrary, I admire them alot. But it is getting old for the rest of us....again. The only small consolation for me is that this will be nice for the city of New York, who needs something to cheer about right now. Anyway, not that anyone cares, but until the Yanks are eliminated, I've watched my last baseball game this year. Good thing I've got football & Survivor. :D
Good luck, Yankees fans (not that you'll need it....again.) :p

LOL Buc, the "...again" comments you made are perfect! As I was watching them celebrate I said to my wife, "They must feel like Forrest Gump, 'So we won the championship....again, and we went to see the president....again" :D

No congrats for the Dbacks? Only 4 years in existance and no congrats...
Being a native Arizonan it is nice to fianlly have one of our professional teams in a championship (Lord knows the Cardinals will never be in the superbowl).
Look for my hubby at the series...he'll be the one wearing a dbacks shirt...lmao

Well...congrats to them Rayrah....but i wouldn't want to be them. They're directly in the path of the pinstriped steamroller!

Taz, what it says is that the team is trying to stay focused and not be distracted...something Blockhead should have done. There'll be plenty of time to party after they take care of the Garter Snakes.

First of all, rayrah, the first post was made before the D-backs beat the Braves, so I wasn't trying to slight them. It was a post filled with my angst at the Yanks going to the World Series...again. These days, a team's greatest playoff aspiration is to get beat by the Yankees.
So go D-backs! :)

Pagan & Taz, - an observation/question for you Yanks fans: I've heard alot of people lately that are amazed that Roger Clemens won't pitch until game 3. It is no surprise to me, he'll never pitch in a NL ballpark if Torre can help it. Mr. "Chin-Music" has so many paybacks coming he doesn't need to even take batting practice. :D Your comments?

I think Schilling and Johnson can make it just a little exciting. Then again, that's what I thought about the Seattle series. That one got ugly. Yankees will win the World Series in six games.

I hope I live long enough to see the Orioles win something.
