Do you like your steak well done, still mooing, or in between? Myself, I can't really handle the rare stuff - it's got to be cooked reasonably well done.

Myself, I can't really handle the rare stuff - it's got to be cooked reasonably well done. Ted Nugent 10-13-01, 09:41 PM Well done, but, very tender and juicey. djdaffy1227 10-13-01, 09:41 PM I order mine Medium Well but I'm not picky. I'll eat it however it comes to me. Iluvthe80s 10-14-01, 12:49 AM Medium Well to Well done. I want it done but not burnt. Sonny Burnett 10-14-01, 01:03 AM Rare;pink though out Med-rare;no pink around the edges Med;pink in the middle Med-well;a trace of pink Well done; no pink I used to work in a Steak House. Pagan 10-14-01, 02:42 AM My preference? Knock the horns off and shave it's ass! Still Mooing! Bring the cow to me, I'll bite off what I want and ride the rest home! Just let it look at the fire! In other words....RARE! Jazzmyn 10-14-01, 09:41 AM I'll take mine medium. :) Still want some tender pink in the middle. Love steak. :D TopCat 10-14-01, 10:16 AM Medium-well Sirlon with corn on the cob and a salad. :D Shakey 10-14-01, 12:30 PM I prefer my steak still on hoof and grazing pastures. I don't eat meat... :) Pagan 10-14-01, 01:00 PM Originally posted by Shakey: I prefer my steak still on hoof and grazing pastures. If it's slightly pink in the middle, I don't have a hissy, I just eat around it. No point having it dropped on the floor and returned to me.... morningmyst 10-14-01, 02:17 PM I like mine medium with a bit of pink in the middle. :D wavemaster 10-14-01, 06:29 PM Medium. And large. I´m pretty scared if my piece of steak wanted to start a discussion about being eaten soon... ;) ImSoooSure 10-14-01, 07:20 PM Medium rare With rice pilaf and garlic bread. Mmmmm, sounds good for dinner! :p Zel 10-14-01, 07:58 PM I like my steak medium well with some nice mushrooms simmered in red wine. I hate it when people put ketchup on their steak (shudder). I prefer my roast beef to be totally brown though :) Mmmm roastbeef garlic roast potatoes and steamed broccoli... too late I have lasanga in the oven :) Roemello 10-15-01, 01:32 AM Medium is usually my preference, but I can handle a well done now and then too. Rare? forget about it... :p abcmcd 10-15-01, 01:37 AM Medium. Don't like it too well done. New York strip from the Outback...mmmmmm :) sassy 10-15-01, 12:17 PM I have stopped eating red meat.. but when i did i liked mine bloody.. now here is something that might gross you guys out. I use to eat raw hamburger meat. I still catch myself craving it. Weird I know.. but my whole family ate it like that. Bogie 10-15-01, 12:54 PM What do you think Zel? A baseball sirloin from the Keg with a skewer of shrimp and a side of Button and Portabello mushrooms? Oh, and of course it has to be done somewhere between rare and medium-rare. :D Zel 10-16-01, 03:03 AM Oh now you've done it Bogie. I'm going to have to drag my hubby to Mama Mia and The Keg. We have the origional Casey's here but that is getting ho-hum and Kelsey's is new but doesn't do it for me :) Bogie you made me crave steak at this hour LOL :) nolanbuc 10-16-01, 04:42 AM First of all, Milani: please don't eat raw ground beef anymore! It is very dangerous, & E. coli 0157:7 infections are not pretty either. I used to like my steak rare to medium rare (depending upon the cut of meat), but since I went to Medical Technology school in college, I'm paranoid about anything less than medium well. Parasitology class saw to that! Ayla 10-16-01, 05:03 AM Definitely medium rare for me, with mushrooms sauteed in butter and a baked potato (with mayonaisse on it, ya i know! but it is yummy) Zel 10-16-01, 06:39 AM Ayla! Long time no see. Pull a plate up to the table Bogie is taking us all to the Keg :) Flix 10-16-01, 06:44 AM I, like Shakey, prefer my steak on someone else's plate. No meat here. :) Shakey 10-16-01, 07:56 AM Originally posted by Flix: I, like Shakey, prefer my steak on someone else's plate. No meat here. :) Cool... I'm not a minority anymore. Now WE are a minority. :D Oh! And Pagan. You'll have to square off against my Mom for the meat I don't eat. That lady is ravenous, man. I think if she was a chicken, she would be the first cannabilistic one in history... Bogie 10-16-01, 11:53 AM Originally posted by Zel: Ayla! Long time no see. Just let me know when. :) I had completely forgotten about Casey's. I've been drunk in a Casey's in Sudbury and Timmins. Pagan 10-17-01, 01:31 AM There's another word for "well done". It's called a "puck". Bogie 10-17-01, 03:58 PM Originally posted by Zel: Bogie would that be the one in Castle Loma? It's the Keg on Jarvis Street. They converted one of the old giant 19th century houses into the flagship location. Lovely place. It's just around the corner from Maple Leaf Gardens. Just have to fight your way through the Jarvis prostitutes to get there. LOL. Couldn't get me up the CN Tower in a million years. :D Sheibub 10-20-01, 12:49 PM Well done, but not so well done it's like boot leather! No way I can eat rare. YUK! A good vet could put the whole thing together again! :D Kee hee!! :) *stab, cut cut cut -- "Mooooo..." oops!* :p Zel 10-21-01, 06:59 PM LOL Shei! Went to my boss's retirement party last night and the roast beef was so red I swear the heart could still be beating = I passed and went for the crab crepes :D Therrall 7-01-02, 01:55 AM Originally posted by Pagan My preference? It's called a "puck". ROTFLMFAO! ain't that the Truth Alan :p, it's also not Healthy to have it "Well Done" as well, cooking it to that degree destroys alot of the Natural Enzymes making it Much Harder for your Body to Digest it, it Also Destroys alot of the "Food Value" (I didn't study Nutrition/Health for nothing you know;)) jen* 7-01-02, 11:52 AM Don't know how I missed this thread the first time around, but I prefer my steak medium to medium well. Of course, I'll take sauted mushrooms and onions and a loaded baked potato. mmmmmmm :biglick: Recker 7-01-02, 05:52 PM I like mine well done with eggs and chips to go with it! :D |
