View Full Version : do you eat breakfast or grab on the go?
I never eat breakfast. By the time I get my kids, my spouse and myself ready to leave in the morning I've got enough time to grab a cereal bar and run. I usually have a good snack at my morning coffee break though :)
How about the rest of you?
Iluvthe80s 10-12-01, 08:29 PM I'm not much of a breakfast person. I might snack on a cereal bar or pastry. Every once in awhile on a weekend we might go out for breakfast.
Roemello 10-12-01, 08:33 PM I am totally on the go. I like to wake up as late as possible, so I don't really have time to hang around and eat at home. Easier and quicker to just stop by a Dunkin Donuts or fast food spot to snatch a quick breakfast and move along :)
Ted Nugent 10-12-01, 08:41 PM Every morning it's : Take shower, eat french fries (baked in oven) then go on the Xchange. :)
Not Man 10-12-01, 10:12 PM Definitely on the go. I get up around 2:30 am, jump in the shower, get dressed then it's off to work eating a bagel or something else while driving. :)
Only eat breakfast on weekends. But boy do I eat a lot on Saturday and Sunday. :)
I NEVER leave home without eating breakfast! I don't have any energy unless I do. :)
I always get up early (5am or earlier) and have some coffee with milk and either a bagel with creem cheese or blackberry jam. ;)
I love to post on the board in the morning! Just a few of us early cats around than. :)
BTW... I don't have to be at work until 9am!! LOL
Iluvthe80s 10-12-01, 10:47 PM Part of the reason I don't eat breakfast most of the time is I don't want to have to get up any earlier.
80sTrivia 10-13-01, 12:44 AM I usually eat something lite for breakfast; maybe a bowl of cereal or a Slim Fast shake on the go...
MDC: Official Stalker of DD86 :D
Darkside 10-14-01, 01:36 PM I usually won't eat breakfast. If I have time for it and get up early enough on the weekends, then I will eat breakfast.
Jazzmyn 10-14-01, 05:38 PM Really depends. Most days I don't go to work till 3pm. I try to eat something before I leave on those days. lol Of course I don't get up till 11 either. On my early days, I just have my coffee and get something to eat on my first break. Works ok for me. :)
ImSoooSure 10-14-01, 07:22 PM I grab an apple and eat it on my drive in to work.
xistenza 10-14-01, 09:47 PM I hate eating when I get up, so I always skip breakfast. I'm trying to change my routine, though, since it's a lot more healthy to eat a small something in the morning to get you going. I never thought forcing down a half bowl of bran flakes would be so difficult. I was good for a week, but I quickly went back to my skipping routine. Maybe I'll try again this week.
Wish me luck!

outofplacechild 10-14-01, 10:35 PM I'm not much for breakfast nowadays. I usually sleep through it, now that I'm home. If I do have breakfast, it's actually in the middle of the day.
Sincerely,

OK, am I the only person here who gets up early AND eats breakfast?? http://www.plauder-smilies.de/sad/confused5.gif LOL
MY breakfast is three cans of Diet. Mountain Dew.
I don't have time to eat in the morning.
I usually eat breakfast at home, but I can't eat until I've been up for a couple of hours. I don't usually eat much more than a couple Eggos or a bowl or cereal, but on the weekends when my husband's home we have a big family breakfast with the works.
I don't like to get up any earlier than I have to, so I never eat breakfast on the days that I'm working except for saturdays when all the guys at work decide to get breakfast once in a while.
Usually, I just grab a cup of coffee after I get to work.
LOL TC. Since we have established that TC has the only healthy breakfast habits here :)
What does everyone love for Sunday brunch?
I love having people over for brunch :) My husband makes his famous waffles with the blueberries we picked from the summer (perfect trick to start child labour at an early age - JK they love it ...really :) )
Fresh Pemeal Bacon from the farmers market - we buy it about twice a year and its soo good :)
Lots of coffee of course.
Mushroom omlete - those are yummy.
wavemaster 10-16-01, 03:17 AM During the days I went for business school, I had to get up at 6:00 am. At this time, it was nearly impossible for me to force anything else but some cocoa down my throat.
Of course, my stomach reminds me quickly enough of itīs needs, so Iīve raided the bakery at the first break.
Today...after my early morning posting routine (Zel, you still didnīt tell me where the PAīs meet! ;)), itīs back to bed after my dose of multivitamin juice. When I wake up again, itīs already lunch time. I know that I will have a hard time once Iīm employed again...
Chat room Wave. Val and I speaking about hair was actually in code LOL ;)
My breakfast is a cup 'o coffee and a apple or a power bar.
