View Full Version : Oh...Pagan is doing the happy dance now!
Just made the appointment to bring my car into JDM Engineering in New Jersey on January 31st.
Having a set of Eibach lowering springs installed that will drop her down about an inch and a half for a meaner stance. The meaner stance is needed because I also purchased this:

The new Roush R2300 Supercharger. When all is said and done and I pick the car up the following Saturday, she will have 500 horsepower at the rear wheels. That's more at the wheels than the Shelby Cobra.
Can't wait until that first kid in a Honda at a stoplight thinks I have a stock GT. :mwaha:
Things are finally starting to go my way again...even in my personal life, which I will keep personal. :spin:
Well happy to hear you are getting what you want with your car and getting what you deserve in your personal life!
Happy for you!
Oooh...here it is in action. :dgrin:

I can do those in my HHR!
Pavement donuts are much more fun...more smoke too. :mwaha:

He wouldn't even have to step on the gas! Awesome! :thumb: :yesnod::rollin:
Glad to hear everything is coming up roses for ya Bro! You deserve it!!!
Nice!
You better hold on to that pony, with 500HP at the rear she just might buck you. :thumb:

Gotta be careful about dem rape apes, though :4psycho: Don't they have mosquitoes the size of sewer rats there? NYUH!
glad to hear things are going well for you...man, the car is nice.....
Okay this rules....my buddy Rob (Hemicidal) gave me an idea for a plaque under the hood for when I'm at car shows, keeping with the "Iron Mustang" theme.
"Woe to you, oh Honda and Mitsubishi...for the Devil drives this beast with wrath, for his quarter mile times are short. Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of this beast, for it is a Blue Oval number....it's number is 4.6"
:laugh::lol::laugh:
Just an update for anyone who cares...
Dropped the car off Saturday. Was told that the supercharger is so powerful that they have to roll things back on it to keep me near 500 rwhp. Will be more like 515-525.
That being said, did the preventative thang and added a beefed up Roush clutch the the works.
Somehow the idea of the clutch blowing to hell, coming up through the floorboards and ripping a foot off didn't sound so appealing.
I pick her up this Saturday. :D
KimJoy69 1-26-09, 01:55 PM Good GAWD! That's way cool!
Also updated the plaque that will be under the hood during shows...and added another one. :D

However....if *I* were to get it in pink...it would definitely result in my seeing this:

ROFLMGDAO!!!! Now THAT would be a funny visual..Pagan driving hot pink!!! (ducking Flying Bass guitars heading his way!)
Latest update....the car is finished and I'm picking it up Friday.
They called me with the dyno test results. I'm making 525 horses and 506 ft. lbs. of torque....at the tires!
That means about 615 horses at the engine.
Holy hell...she IS a beast now.:dgrin::mwaha::rockon::mwaha::dgrin:
Heh heh heh....

wavemaster 2-07-09, 06:07 PM Seeing the Dynojet sheet, I do hope that the drivetrain and the suspension of your baby can handle the boost-up...540 ft-lbs, that's one massive mount of torque piled up under the hood. ;)
I replaced the clutch with a Roush racing clutch Wave, and Jim at JDM said there's no need to replace anything else.
The torque is insane. I was doing 60 on the highway in 4th gear and punched it to pass someone...the tires spun and the car started going sideways. It's scary...
wavemaster 2-07-09, 07:35 PM Scary indeed...I take it that your 'Stang doesn't feature a traction control except of your right foot? :D
I had recently seen a documentation about Roush on TV. Most impressive! If we could get some parts at least for the Focus (and street legal!), I would consider buying one although I have to admit that I'm not the biggest fan of Ford vehicles no matter where they were built. ;)

It actually does have traction control Wave, but believe it or not even that can't handle the power. :yikes:

The shop I went to does work on the Focus. I wonder if they sell overseas.

Yeah, I guess that if the traction control would be fully active, your car might slink over the road like a turtle with foot ache under certain conditions. ;)
A friend of mine had recently bought an Opel Astra (sold as Saturn Astra in the States), and he did find out about the negative effects of non-disengageable electronic drive assistants when he wasn't able to leave the basement garage which was covered with snow and ice - the electronics had reduced the engine power to virtually nil in the attempt of avoiding spinning tires.
For this morning, he had to take the train. :D

As far as I know, neither body nor engine parts by Roush are offered officially here. Of course you might order them overseas, but then the car wouldn't be street legal until you went through the costly process of a special operating license (and it's not even guaranteed that the car will pass!).

Thankfully, the Stang has the option of turning the traction control off. They HAD to offer that option! I mean c'mon, what's having all that power if you can't do a nice, smokey burnout every now and then!

One of the things I HATED about the traction control on my old Saturn. I was going to work one snowy morning and had to go up a hill. I was dead stopped halfway up due to the TC. ARGH!

Wow...I never knew you had to do so much in order to keep a car street legal there! Damn...everything I did to mine, and she's still emissions and inspection legal here!

I bet your tire dealer is glad to hear this.

It's even nicer when the non-disengageable ALB sticks to the opinion that the braking power needs to be reduced to zero due to slippery roads. This way, I had nearly wrecked our just bought Passat when a stupid woman just cutted in before me and nearly crashed herself during this process. But believe me, I was all of a sudden bathed in sweat when I had to notice that the brakes were more or less functionless.

It depends on whether the producer of custom parts gained a general operation license for them. In this case, you can either mount the parts (like rims, spoilers etc.) without seeing the "race control" (technical inspection bureau and registration office) or having those parts registered with the motor vehicle registration certificate. This applys to ca. 90% of the cases, the rest has to apply for that special operating license which might require a lot of costly tests.
Basically, it would be no problem to get your 'Stang street legal in Germany - as long as you play by the local rules. And this means that the car must meet the emission levels for exhaust and noises, feature a speedometer with kph scale, replacing sealed beams with EC-compliant headlights, having the side markers either disengaged or completely yellow (and of course, featuring the EC marks)...wait. Could be a problem. :D

Oh believe me...he does. I just ordered a full set of Nitto NT555's for the car. I cannot get the stock tires to hook up, so I went with 40 profiles all around instead of the 50s I had. I kept the fronts at 235s and replaced the 235s in the back with 285s. That oughta do it. :D

Oh man bro...that must have been a lovely experience! Geez!

I was finished at the exhaust, bro.
As you can hear from the video...she ain't quiet. :p
You're gonna shoot your eye out.
Okay first photos...
Happier than Michael Jackson at a Harry Potter book signing right now.
First pic, lowered two inches thanx to the Eibachs and switching from 50's to 40's on the skins. Nitto NT555's. 235s up front, 285s out back.

How about crusting the rims with Svarovski's? ;)

The name's Pagan bro, not P. Diddy.
:thumb: :thumb: D@mn ... you're gonna' make me HURT ... but I've gotta' say it :irked: NICE JOB!!! Even if it is a 'Stang!! ;)
Love the power & the lowered look & yes, I'd even love to see her run!! :yesnod: Ohhhh ... I feel so dirty now!! I'm envious too ... I wish my mod money tree would prove fruitful like that!!
Really happy for you buddy :thumb: just a little jealous now :irked: no fair
Just be careful w/ all that power under your @ss ... we don't want to lose you just yet!! That kind of power can break loose in flash, don't let us have to hear of something like that ... I'd have to kick your @ss if anything happened to you!! :dgrin:
Love the plaque ... would love to see the look of some ricers face as you blow his doors off even better ;) Just be careful passing on the highway ... let's NOT go sideways anymore ... K?
From some of the info in the thread, sure glad we live here where we can still beef up our cars & enjoy them!! :yesnod:
Congrats again!! Yes, I said it, a Mustang I like :irked: but when my money tree blooms & I get to play too, you may end up saying you like Chargers ;)
Wow...that must have been SO painful to say hun!
The mod money wasn't fruitful though...I just figured it was now or never, and pissed away money I shouldn't have.
You only live once. ;)
